Yeah, interested to see those, too. Really looking forward to more of the “intrigue-lore” we’ve had since legion and missed in DF.

Oh they did? I wasn’t aware of that. Do you have a source? That’s so interesting.

haha, no. as long as it makes as much money as it is it’s around

When Chris was on stage he explained the World Soul Saga is going to usher in the new era of Warcraft.

I’m sure you’ll love Legion Classic lol.

Y’all realize when square enix made final fantasy 14, they didn’t shut down final fantasy 11, right? They’re both currently going.

They aren’t shutting down WoW while it makes them profit. They may eventually stop new content and focus on a sequel game instead, but it won’t be going away for probably 20 more years.

I doubt it honestly, Blizz will no doubt find some reason to try and continue milking the game for as much money as they can get. I’m honestly curious how the big reveal of what Azeroth looks like… let alone what’s going on with her will play out. Is she going to be tainted with void, is she being forcibly converted to order by her supposed kin, is she actually a great mother dragon and not human-like at all? So many questions at this point. Will she leave the planet when she wakes up and not destroy the planet when she does, will it be a cataclysm all its own if and when she does, or will she just decide to forever reside within our planet as to protect those who may be considered like her children that reside upon her world? I mean order magic is supposedly blue if the way the pantheon were like in legion is any clue but her blood has gold to it… and Zovaal felt she had the power to rewrite reality or whatever… so many questions that need answers. Is Azeroth even an actual titan and not just like more a god than the titans themselves? I’m if anything hoping to see how the story goes as I don’t think we’ve ever seen even a hint at what she’d look like yet

Lets be honest, did you really think you’d get a real answer to something like this? Nearly any time a poster uses a term or talking point of a streamer they can never go into any detail about it. This “mismanaged” nonsense is just as dumb as the whole “player agency” line was, just not as popular to use yet. lol

I’m surprised you even got -

WoW has another 20+ years in it if they choose to do so.

The game is almost as established as basic crap we see everyday. Supermarkets, Gas stations, Applebees, occasional Pay phones, libraries, so on and so on.

lol @ ‘end of wow’

This cash shop gold factory game will be separating players from their money for a long long time

Only thing that will happen is some executive deciding to increase monetization to get his bonus that year

This game is OBSCENELY profitable, it just isn’t increasing profits year over year. But just a massive amount of fat on this old hog.

Not a chance. :person_facepalming:

As long as wow makes more money than it cost to keep around, we’ll have wow.

Also big LOL at people who say they hope wow ends while being subbed.

Wow clearly making enough money that they can mess around with so many classic / HC / SOD modes.

They definitely gonna milk it for another 20 years.

Nope, WoW will become self-aware sometime after the saga.

What about all the people that DO like it? I mean, you can always choose not to play.

WoW 2 already happened. It was called “World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade”.

The problem with this “dream” that some of you have, that somehow they will shutdown WoW and start a “new game” in the Warcraft universe, is that those who will create the supposed NEW game are incapable of creating something good. There are no good DEV working for Blizz. So? OBVIOUSLY this new game would be garbage. Obviously.

No… Won’t happen. Blizz know they don’t have the talent to create a new game, they will keep milking the “old WoW”, a masterpiece of the past that they try their best to keep people addict to. Not ruining WoW is all that Blizz can do nowadays, and even that seems too much.

Ive been reading this for the past 10 years.

Just like any other new MMO has been a WoW-Killer too.

If Microsoft closes their servers, go play someone else server. I get ads on Youtube for non-Microsoft WoW servers that looked like they’ve done more development on the game than Activision ever did. The end would be a new beginning.
