I was wondering what the requirement to get into heroics will be since they’re gonna drop 467 gear. I would assume the minimum ilvl requirement to do LFG will go up as well?
441 on the PTR atm.

Will there be auction house gear that is equivalent to now, like 424+37 = 461? I like to get all my cuties to the AH → heroics → 11s → 20s. But I guess it might be AH → m0 → 10? M0 is not queued so there is no minimum ilvl, that might be better.
Unless your running with friends there will likely be a perceived minimum ilvl you need to be at to be taken to the M0 in S4. If their increasing the req for Heroics most players are going to consider an increased level neccessary for M0 which remember will be as challenging as M10 now in the current ilvls we are in now: supposedly.
I thought they were putting M0 in the queue? Did I misunderstand that?
Their item level system that they’ve been using since at least legion is very predictable by now. Someone might be able to correct me or not but isn’t this season one of the closest “casual” players has come to say heroic/mythic raiders in terms of item levels? Might have been better in BFA with visions though?
I don’t recall seeing that but they should since nobody really does it anyway after a short time.

There’s a dungeon progression update image from the announcement that makes it more clear.
Normals are staying the same.
Heroics in terms of difficulty and the rewards they offered will be aligned to what was M0 before but will continue to function with how heroics worked previously.
M0 is having its difficulty and rewards aligned to what was M10 previously and is retaining everything else about M0 with how they work now.
M10 will align with what was previously M20 and will be timed affixes kick in at M2, M5 and M10 now.
On top of those difficulties their also doing the whole item level jump. Where normal dungeons will drop 460 gear instead of 421 gear. Mythic 0 will drop 476 gear instead of 437 gear.
I could not find it but the minimum ilvl to que for heroics is going up on and is on PTR but not sure what it is.
Bumping heroic up to m0 difficulty and leaving heroic in queue
M0 will be equivalent to m10. No queue
With no affixes and timer, in other words, a complete joke still.
M0 should be queued.
And both Heroic DG and M0 shouldn’t have lockouts.

The assumption at least right now on the PTR is you’ll be able to get heroic quality gear from flying whelpling crests.
Most peoples progression will probably be Dream Surge crest farm/heroic dungeon grinding (to 585ish) → M4 (to 515ish) → M8 → Portal on easy 2nd affix week.
The only way people won’t be spam grinding keystones for crests/stones is if for some reason there’s a cap on crests this season. Valor was uncapped for S4, so it’d be a little odd for crests outside of maybe aspects to be capped this time around since they serve the same purpose.
