It ends in January I thought? The in-game calendar shows where it ends.
Season of Discovery will end soon.
Anniversary will progress to TBC and presumably WoTLK and who knows from there.

SoD is NOT sending soon. They’ve already said the servers won’t be closed and they’ll continue to create content.

Content will end for it as they begin to focus on the next season launch. Your character will be parked but by mid next year I guarantee there won’t be any new Discovery content being released.

Otherwise they would do what they did with SoM: close the servers and transfer the characters to Era. Which they’ve said they’re not doing with SoD.
lol, I’m already this. I don’t want to put all this time into a character like I did in retail. I’ve been here since the first cata. Sad retail has all my veterans. All that work 
There’s been too many modifications in Discovery so they cant transfer to Era.
Season of Mastery it was still doable. They want players doing the cool new thing, so they will launch another new season. Adding to the old one is literally classic+, which they will do at some point I think, but not yet.

They could absolutely move those characters to Era and just undo the SoD changes.
You expect an Era server for each Season? That’s not going to happen. Five years from now we’ll have 5 different seasonal era servers? I’m just going by what they said. The SoD servers won’t be closed, the characters won’t be transferred, and they’re developing more content for them.

They could do that, they may eventually move them to Era and remove modifications. With no content map planned out, it’s an open guess.
On your second point, plenty of games do Seasonal content. Why can’t they?
The fact this is already the second season is kind of case in point that’s what they are doing. Are they still adding content to Season of Mastery? No.
Anyway, this approach seems like the best way to Beta test a true and proper Classic+, which is what I think they are doing. I hope everyone gets a version of what they like, so for your case I hope they continue content for SoD.

I’m having a hard time as I’m learning a new class and on Alliance lol
I’ve been Horde and my main is Rogue since Cata - which I have, but I want to play a caster. I’ve also played Spriest, DK, Rpally, and Fdruid. I would heal, but I haven’t since Cata/Pandaria. Maybe if a guild on DreamScythe could have the patience I would try it again. I haven’t found a guild yet.

It just sys that they are going to be continuing to work on what is coming next soon, not that it is ending soon.
A 5 second Google search? Only spending 5 seconds will auto put you to an AI answer that doesn’t even talk about World of Warcraft…some AI…
