Will the Anniversary/Seasonal end?

Kinda wish they do what they did with Diablo where after a season ends you have the option to transfer your char with all its gear and mogs to your regular retail server with some scaled level , say lvl 40 - 60 where you can then level it up to current content at 80

As many people have spend way more time building and leveling their classic toons so being able to bring them to retail and then start a new would be a fun feature .

And then they can just reset the servers so people can start fresh again.

It would bring a new level of fun where people who don’t have mogs from say TBC instead of going to solo dead trivial raids can actually earn their mogs by doing the original content and keep their mogs for retail servers

It’s a season. Seasons end. They did not say that it is or isn’t ending soon. They just don’t want what happened last time with SOM when SOM end was announced and people began raging about how they thought they were going to loose all their toons and SOM progress. Do you even play SoD?

SoD is not ending soon. In fact, depending on your definition of ‘ending’, it may never end. They said they’re not shutting down the servers and transferring the characters like they did with SoM. And they’re planning more content. That’s what we know for now.

They also said they would never re-release level 60 version of the game in the first place.

It’s not a seasonal server. It’s a re-release of Classic. It will go through vanilla, TBC, and probably WOTLK.

Where did they say the will continue to create content? All I’ve seen them say is the servers won’t close

They have already said there will be no new raids in SoD.

That guy is clueless.

They may do some special events or something but there won’t be new raids.

The Blue post says they will continue to support them and they’re hard at work on everything else that’s coming.

I suppose it’s possible that last part was just a general comment, and not specific to SoD. I merely interpreted it that what they’re working on is for SoD.
