The Lich King grants you the power to raise the Four Horsemen.
You raise Death Knights before you get the quest to raise the Four / Nazgrim.

After seeing some of my friends’ takes, I totally changed my mind on Sylvanas coming back. I’m fine with it. The Sylvanas who committed genocide no longer exists anyway, like you implied. Also Tyrande is technically complicit in genocide and colonialism too.

in story it’d be bizarre for anyone to hold her accountable.

now players whomst were wronged on the other hand are not going to care.

this is a similar situation to Anduin. It makes sense that Anduin is deeply traumatized by his experiences with the Jailer dominating him. But the player knows Anduin is the most shielded character in the setting. He didn’t kill anyone to get the keys. He didn’t do anything that would marr his perfect persona. So… why would the player care about Anduin’s grief?

Powerful necromancers can indeed create death knights and lichs. Having the Lich King around just made the ritual to create them a LOT easier to perform since they had all that extra death magic to draw upon

This would be what you want, Not necessarily what would be how blizzard would write it. Sylvanas punishment was to spend eternity in the maw rescuing all the souls that were damned by her actions. Her just coming out of the Maw and escape that punishment would need to be reflected in the story and couldn’t be ignored as she would be hated by so much of the people on Azeroth.

Well… Yes? When it comes to what could happen I like to talk about what I would like to see. This is a topic discussing and speculating about a situation that didn’t happen yet, it’s the whole point.

There is really no downside to leaving her out of the story, Her story is resolved and she is in the maw for good. visiting her there isn’t necessarily out of the question but having her leave would only be a negative as then they have to contest with bringing up the whole teldrassil issue again after just finally resolving it. Having her actually be completely destroyed for good probably would be the only outcome I could see with her coming back so blizzard never has to visit that story again.

But thats like… Your opinion, man. Seriously though, its as I said, one can’t please everyone. Some people don’t want to see her ever again, some people do.

I think a good portion of his grief comes from feeling like part of the enjoyment and satisfaction actually came from him instead of Domination. Man, there were SO many dialogue moments in TWW that would have been great to have a DK-specific line

I think she will return to her sisters for a while because they have a lot of dirty laundry to get through, but ultimately will end up settling with the Forsaken again. She will not be the same Banshee Queen, obviously, but going full Alliance? Nah.

The Alliance itself wouldn’t have her to begin with. Not while Tyrande and Genn draw breath at least.
