Now that we can use dragonriding almost everywhere, will all our old mounts become obsolete?
As I was doing Lunar festival quests, I realized that DR is much faster than anything else we have. The only time I pulled out one of the old mounts was when I had to climb a lot of height (like Mt Hyjal). Otherwise it was DR all the way.
Just the ground ones, as many flying mounts will be able to dynamically fly in The War Within.
For now. I suspect it will be lowered to level 10 or 30 in The War Within when Dragonflight becomes the new default Chromie Time leveling expansion, which has already been said by the developers.
As far as I know, ground mounts are the only mounts you can use in PvP.
Still, it would be cool if there were raids, if not dungeons, where ground mounts were the main way of moving around.
And this is exactly why you have to take them out and fly around the block a few times with them.
Boredom can also set it, which might make some mounts a bit harder to handle as they forget the feeling of having a rider.
I’m certain the mount trainers in the capital cities will give players access to re-training (for a small fee) as well as temporary “low caloric content” food for their mounts that might need to lose a stone or two.
For some people we like to play our characters at max level. I mean totally great for people that like leveling a lot of alts but for me it’ll only mean I use it for a couple hours on each toon. I’m not making any more characters from scratch, I’m beyond that at this point in the games history.
Idk why they had to make dragon riding so restrictive, a simply speed boost would’ve been great, not something that is directly tied to drakes and mounts with wings. Idk how they’d make dragon riding on the headless horseman or mimirons head for example… whatever rant over
