Will of Forsaken

Due to the unbalanced crutch that is Will of Forsaken. I think we should allow paladins to use Exorcism, Holy Wrath, and Turn Undead on them when they use it. Plus priests should be able to shackle undead on them also.
Thoughts?

That would be funny, but I would think that it would be largely unfair and somewhat hard to capitalize since they can drop the buff while Shackle is being cast.

I would however have removed the type restrictions on Exorcism and Holy Wrath.

Back during lich king death knights had an ability called Lichborne that made the player considered undead and were susceptible to undead only spells during lichborne. Just treat will of forsaken the same way.

Yeah, but I think they changed that ability for the same reasons I mentioned.

Edit: Oh and I really don’t know much about Wrath btw. If I’m wrong about what I said here, my bad. I don’t really know Wrath that well.

Not really sure why it was changed either. Added flavor to the class and game. From an RP perspective an undead player should be afraid of paladins

I mean sure, I follow you. Maybe it would have been okay.

They could change it to a debuff for will of the forsaken one turns you undead making you immune to fear/sleep/charm for the duration and allowing exorcism or turn undead(can make it a terror effect)

Good point.

Yes thats exactly how Lichborne worked in LK. Was like a death knights version of beserker rage from warriors to break fears. I still remember using that from the frost tree and getting shackled by a priest in wsg.

The entire reason those abilities aren’t usable on Foresaken players is because it would unnecessarily punish players for choosing a race. They would be the only race in the game that would have such a downside.

Counter argument to that is WillofForsaken punishes all priests/warlocks solely because they chose to fight an undead player.

Just like Escape Artist punishes Mages and Stoneform punishes Rogues, right?

No mention of humans?

Why would I? Perception is a garbage racial. It only got better when it was changed to Every Man for Himself at which point it was basically WotF-lite but by that point WotF had already been nerfed.

The only reason I went human on my Pally instead of Dwarf was for Diplomacy and because I dislike the dwarven model.

Or change the damn PvP trinkets so that undead classes don’t get a fear-break at all from their trinket, given they already get 1 from their racial.

hardly fair that they get 2 fear breaks and alliance only 1. That makes a huge difference in fights, you’re dead before you can even think about getting a 3rd fear off, let alone how long that 3rd fear would last for with DR anyway.

Escape artist good vs mage. Someone has never played a Frost mage or a Gnome.

It was simply an example and the first that came to mind. Is it on par with WotF? Of course not.

But I stand by my point regarding the idea of allowing abilities meant only for use against undead NPCs to work against players, but only those who choose to play Foresaken, just because their racial is really good in PvP is just silly.

Not really . Will of the forsaken is fine the way it is . Wont happen.

The original WOTF was passive. And only Paladins and priests could CC undead players.

You should be thankful it’s on a cool down.

There’s no DR on fear yet IIRC.
