As the title asks: I just wanted to know if, as a warlock, the names of my demons will change if I get a race change come Cataclysm (same faction). I’ve grown quite fond of my demons and will be a bit saddened if their names get changed.
It seams like the answer depends on the version of the game, and I can’t find anything that is for the current classic build of the game.
Pretty sure Cata actually made a mess of the demon names anyways, as a concession (no means a good one), as of patch 4.0.1 you can rename your demon from your demon trainer (at random 
)
I faction changed my warlock on retail around Mists of Pandaria and my demons kept their names.
I have not done a race/faction change yet on classic though.
