Honestly this would make classic a successful business model. Want mounts and transmogs for retail? Play classic. It be a win win, even of they have said no. It’s a matter of time before big bro activson sees the money to be made by doing this.

Diminish the value? Doesn’t the mere existence of classic diminish the value of vanilla? Well it’s supposed to be 1:1 #nochanges right. So how does it diminish anything.
I also take issue with anyone telling me my reasons and motivations for playing a game need to align with theirs.

Character boosting, heirlooms, cash shop. The existence of classic itself, the list of things blizzard says is endless.
It’s an interesting analogy you used here. Because what you seek is to not stay in separate lanes, but rather to merge them together. I’m sure that won’t disrupt traffic.

Wrong. It would be horrible for Classic, and they’d lose a lot of the people they just got to come back.
Frankly, the only successful business model for Classic is to present the authentic experience they promised and then leave it alone.
