Will i lose items if i transfer my bnet account to another region?

Greetings,

I started playing WoW in 2005 and have registered my account in United States region since that was my current residence when i created the account.

I have since moved to the Philippines back in 2009 but i never changed my account region this whole time because i never saw the need to do so.

Now, with overwatch2 coming out in october 4, i am required to register my phone with sms protect before i can access the game. The problem is, my Philippines phone number is not compatible with the region registered on my battle.net account, which is still United States.

I have not tried it yet, but im sure it is easy enough to change my region to Asia/Philippines.

My concern though is this: will i lose purchases and region specific rewards that i have accumulated on the United States region when i move my account to the Asia region? Namely, tyreal’s charger which was a North America promo annual pass. Also, what about redeemed codes that i redeemed on the US region? Do they all carry over to the new region i transfer to?

Thank you for anyone that can help with my concern. Good day.

You can’t transfer WoW to a different region, they’re treated essentially as separate games.

Correct. The phone number used needs to match the country on the account and it needs to NOT be VOIP or pre-paid (burner phone).

You can work with customer support to update your address to your current country.

Even though your address changes, your WoW account will still be an Americas account and play in the America’s region. Most of SEA plays on the Americas.

Because the WoW Account region can’t be changed for your license, you lose nothing.

The only way to lose things would be to buy a game license for a different Region and start over.

Thank you so much for this assurance. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:
