I was wondering if I would be able to log on world of warcraft, In the city Winnipeg Manitoba, Since my reserve is in a middle of evacuations from the 24 thousand hector forest fire surrounding our reserve Pukatawagan Manitoba? Cause my uncle tried to log on world of warcraft in Winnipeg and his account got frozen since he logged in some were else far from were he usually logs on. So I wanted to ask if I could play wow in the city Winnipeg? I was gunna buy more time sometime today and I want to play wow with out getting locked out my account from logging on in the city of Winnipeg Manitoba and not Pukatawagan.
I don’t think you’ll have any issues logging into WoW from a different city or area. I’ve traveled around Canada also and was able to log into WoW with no problem.
Generally speaking, it’s possible that your account may get locked but that only means that you have to change your password.
That’s it.
If you have an authenticator on your account (or if you add one) the likelihood of a lockout almost disappears.
Also, make sure you don’t break any laws of physics. Like travelling faster than humanly possible. When that happens the system tend to flag the account for possible account sharing. Again, the authenticator helps greatly.
Most importantly, please stay safe!

There is a security mechanism that will detect major changes in your login information. That can lock the account temporarily until you validate it from the new location or device. To do that, you change your password.
Here is the article on it
To avoid a lock, you can put an Authenticator on the account. That reduces the chances that the account gets locked due to access changes. This requires a smart phone that can run apps and a valid phone number (Not VOIP or most pre-paid) to do.
I’ve had 0 issues playing anywhere I travel to. All over the country and outside of it as well. I do recommend using your own computer (so a laptop) though to minimize the threat of compromised accounts. It may (speculating here) also make it a lot less likely that you’ll get your account locked if you’re using the same machine.
Hb, do you have an authenticator? I suspect that may be why, and also why asking.
