So im close now and ive only gotten gear from leveling. Just wonder if I should wait for 60 or 58 is good enough
I leveled to 60 on my Druid because I heard 58 was decently difficult. My brother who plays a Hunter went in at 58 and said it was rather challenging compared to vanilla leveling. Definitely a jump up, but also doable. He’s only died a few times haha.
Do whatever makes you most comfortable, but yes, you’ll have a slightly easier time if you wait until 60.
I went in as a fresh boost at 58 with the awful boost gear on and still managed to get through the first few quests and upgrade my gear. It felt very manageable at that point, so I would say you might feel a little weak at first but 2 or 3 quests in and you’ll start to feel that snowball. Good luck in Outland!
I went in at 58 and it was fine, the quests are made for lvl 60 so you might have to grind it out a bit here and there, but it is at least worth it to get some gear upgrades. You can always grab the upgrades then go back to the classic content for a level or two.
The zone wasn’t made for people at 58. You just have the option of going there early for groups but most quests and mobs are going to be red.
Hunters are about the best solo class in the game, especially when said solo play lacks gear. You’ll be fine.
You will feel weak at first but gear flows like rain in Hellfire. Plus you will get from 58 to 60 MUCH faster in Outland than in the old world, despite taking longer to complete quests. The xp those quests give is insane for being pre 60
you might find it hard for like 20 mins
then you get some blues and greens from the first quests and the powerspike is insane
I wouldn’t rush it anyway. When I turned in some of my old-world quests after the portal opened, I got like 13k experience versus the 10k I was getting in Outland.
Name seems oddly familiar…
I went to Outlands on a boosted toon and didn’t run into very many red mobs in the general quest hubs of Hellfire. And since the first few quests gave adequate gear, I didn’t really run into many issues at all throughout all of the Hellfire quests.
I get to 60 first usually. I like having all the quests at my disposal from 60 on. Feels like wasted XP to do outlands quests at 58. Just my opinion though obviously, you do you.
The only people having a hard time are bads.
I would find it hard to believe you had no issue what so ever as a 58 in green junk fighting all the tightly packed level 62 mobs.
The packs weren’t too bad considering you have a bunch of other people also clearing said packs. The hardest part was getting tags. And the group quests to kill an elite, easy to find or make a group.
Plus I pretty much got a quest right away(the quest to kill a few demons just outside Thrallmar) for a staff that replaced the crap dagger and offhand I was given when I boosted. Just that little bit of extra spell damage was enough to get me going.

This one. The mobs are only lvl 58 and 59.
QFT
It is faster XP, better gear, and way better gold.
Go in at 58
the first few quests offer a handful of gear that will give you a decent jump into things, things will hurt a little but as long as you’re smart with your pulls you’ll be fine
It wasn’t bad. Definitely doable, plus the new environment is refreshing.
Well I posted a lot on an NE Rogue with virtually the same name.
