Will Blizzard jump ship after 9.1, pull a WoD maneuver?

I will actually come back and renew if they introduce Dark Ranger customization, so I can headcannon my way through ALL of the pre- Shadowlands expansions and content and play my days out in peace.

It’s that simple, I’m that vapid, I’m that petty.

That’s actually all it would take. Content be damned.

I can’t even get past 1k in 2s as Havoc, maybe it has something to do with the fact that I’m Venthyr instead of Night Fae, or the fact that rating from wins are so low now compared to BFA at least… maybe it has something to do with the fact we get zerked in melee now that Blade Dance no longer gives 1 second of dodge every use, along with other nerfs that turned us into butter…

I’m still not switching covenants or doing arena with a different class, rather I’m just glad M+ has an actual compensation system of sorts now…

I’m lowkey just trying to learn it so i can finally be the one to spam purge

Just play mage and Shaman then dude. Both got purges and both honestly have way better playstyles then priest.

Too late now i’m 16 hours, 2 full torgasts full campaign and a full vault grind commited to priest :joy:

I also just spent 200 marks of honor getting all the priest pvp sets

Honestly don’t do arenas. Just offering suggestions to a guy experiencing burnout because I’ve been in that situation before and playing role you don’t really enjoy never really fixes the problem.

Then you want another mage or a shaman for something else, other than arenas…

Resto Sham is pretty busted right now…but I’ve got two already and can’t justify losing an AM or SS over a 3rd.

I take whoever applies for my PuGs, within reason, but having a resto sham as a regular healer for keys would be nice… AND a hunter that misdirects me, especially on weird pulls in some runs…

Torghast probably cost us an entire patch tbh.

That monstrosity would’ve been such a time sink for the piece of crap it ended up being.

The worst part is it cuts off, and barely rewards you with anything other than next-to-useless Soul Ash… if we could buy valor with that, or something, it wouldn’t be so bad… and if we could KEEP CLIMBING PAST 6-18 FLOORS TOO… and then come back TO WHERE WE LEFT OFF…

TBH they dropped the ball so hard on both Torghast and the Maw… there were ideas that sounded great on paper, but were executed so horribly…

WoD was intended to be a one year expansion, Shadowlands isn’t.

Priest survivability really ramps up with gear, thanks to Vampiric Touch and Devouring Plague (which drain more health the more damage they do), Power Word: Shield, and Shadow Mend becoming stronger.

The Intangibility talent makes it so that Dispersion heals you while you are nearly invulnerable, and you can also heal yourself and move faster while being nearly invulnerable with the PvP talent Greater Fade.

Also, some Priest covenant abilities can heal or protect you in addition to their offensive benefit.

I would say that Mages are squishier than Priests—you just have to adjust to life without Blink.

Cosmetics are account-wide (in some cases only for characters of the same covenant) and will last even when this expac is over, so I want to earn the ones that I like before any real content is added and I get busy.

Yeah torghast gets an 8/10 for concept and design. And a 3/10 for implementation.

The Maw gets a solid 1/10 for both.

Priests also get a flat 30% damage reduction through will, but mages are pretty annoying with triune :stuck_out_tongue: greater fade definitely feels bad to play around though when facing them

I’ve only been playing priest for a day so i’m still forgetting to hit fade and kinda just mash all my buttons at the same time when i get tunneled :joy:

Yes, I forgot about Focused Will’s significant damage reduction.

Vampiric Embrace also works wonders when your health is starting to drop, especially when you are putting out good single-target damage. You can sometimes end combat in full health rather than wiping.

Also: Desperate Prayer is a quick and dirty self-heal.

I’m playing holy, i made the harmonious legendary but i’m thinking of trying the flash concentration one and treating it like hpal holy light from bfa. Just need the lego to drop now from sanguine halls  i got a lot of satisfaction yesterday when i pre casted mass dispel on a pally’s greedy bubble and insta deathed him

SL is very salvagable and is nowhere near as bad as what WoD was. It only needs a changes to a few of its systems to make them go from bad/ok to good/great (which is what i’m hoping 9.1 does).

I think they issue they have/had is they seem to have these huge ideas and they either dont have the manpower/resources to pull them off or they just mismanage it. Shadowlands is probably the biggest example of this. How much time could they have saved if they just skipped conduits? Skipped the maw (and just made torghast its own thing)? Like yea it sucks to see how many good ideas there were but they just didnt pull through.
