idk but that hasn’t been a thing since vanilla. It’s always been some changes
Pretty sure we’re getting LFR in Dragon Soul, not that anything’s been said but with RDF coming in ICC one can assume it’s the same with LFR.

the question is more like…how “can” they possibly stop GDKP? Another thread discussed this already and also outlined possible theoretical work-arounds to an official ban. I thinkBlizzard pretty much lost control of this horse some time ago and they are just trying to appear in control
They’re implementing gdkp bans in the new fresh servers. They explicitly said it in their release video last week. It’s worked in sod. It basically works until it doesn’t work. Much like buying gold. For a long time people were scared to buy gold because they’d most likely get banned. Now you have a very small chance of actually getting any sort of reprimand so people continuously do it. Once people realize blizzard isn’t enforcing it it’ll start happening more and more.

The community liked to pretend that banning GDKP stops botting so maybe.
They removed gdkp from sod, those players quit playing, and then they relied on feedback from those remaining.
If you remove anyone who has a different opinion, you can influence your results just like blizzard!

and its still bot and RMT infested. that part is just overlooked.
why I wait to see if fresh gets boosting supporting. GDKP has already been ban statement

Or, you know, a dude with their 60 goes wth, its only 5 gold for some dungeon runs. they made that on the 60, and then some.
They jsut don’t want to spam lfg for an hour for 1 run. they can make 5 gold and then some on the 60 in that hour really.
Its okay, we get group loot with more refined rules one day then the rants change.
then they will complain about carries. Which gets to be fun times really.
As they rant on carrie guilds I will get to ask questions. Like…
are they mad about the money made?
the fact the money can be RMT sourced?
or the fact that carrie guild is full clear on raids with 5 useless deadweight players and they can’t clear it with 25 players actually trying.
The changes started in TBC but they where small Wrath is when they really started doing the drastic changes.
It’s unlikely Blizzard developers will add it to Cataclysm, as they’ve already expressed their reluctance. I sincerely hope they refrain from doing so, considering the normal raids are already easy.
Very easily honestly just like they did in SoD and in the new fresh server launches.
Clearly you haven’t seen the GDKP posts by Elron and her army of alts.
I mean you say that but RDF was said to not even be considered in WotLK Classic yet come ICC RDF followed and coincided with the actual release of RDF and I suspect that it’ll be the same for LFR with Dragon Soul.

I believe this is because everyone wanted rdf and they reversed course.
LFR does not have a fraction of the same level of support.
Probably because blizzard refused to find another solution to RDF(since there actually isn’t one RDF is simply the best way to pug dungeons).
And won’t do anything to address the raid situation that lead to LFR, they could have added flex instead but they didn’t.
LFR is baked into every expansion going forward, they may be able to delay it (which i doubt they will) but they can’t just refuse to add it in, especially not since it does drop gear that can be used for transmog

I think the real issue with both is blizzard just doesn’t want to put the effort into making them work in classic so they gaslight us with “muh community”.
Nah, the bigger discords with 4-5k peeps continued on like usual lol it was very much alive snd doing well on sod (still does)
Ya this is what puzzles me. They seem to be doing it in SOD. The most challenging aspect of raiding in Wow had always been finding the exactly 9 or 24 other people to raid with. It’s why I didn’t raid when Wrath or Cata were original and only started raiding in MoP when Flex started to be a thing.
