In BFA it was rdruid that was busted. In Shadowlands it’s Rsham and Hpriest.
How come it feels like healer is always such a restricted role in Mythic+?
Do you think Mistweaver will get some love finally?

Wasn’t MW really solid in 8.3?
And it’s not like any of the healer specs are unplayable at the level of M+ the majority of players engage with.
Wait, how is hpriest good in m+? They have crap mobility and they’re the easiest/worst healer in the game
Balance is a myth. Nothing can be balanced as long as its diversified.
It seems like you’ve been living under a rock this season.
It’s weird because with healers, I just play the ones I have fun with like Resto Druid/MW Monk. I recently tried Holy Priest and had fun - I just couldn’t get into Holy Paladin.
Then again, the highest key I’ve done is 22 or 23 on my Druid; priest is 15 and mw monk is also probably 16 or 17
They’re one of the most represented classes on raider io at every level.
The top 50 keys are almost exclusively Hpriest, with the exception of a few Hpals.
38% of all 25+ keys completed were by HPriests (barely behind RSham); across all levels, they’re roughly equal in terms of presence compared to RSham and RDruid.
I literally don’t believe you, and yes I stopped playing after S1. I’ve never heard of hpriest being good in m+. I’m pretty sure disc is the only good priest spec.
Please explain how they are good, when did this happen, what is this reality
Holy Paladin is so much different than the other healers and it has SO many situational hotkeys. It’s cool but I can’t get into them either.

Something something, [Power Infusion], something something, Destro Locks.
It wasn’t bad but, no it wasn’t meta or FOTM
Well that’s a bit of a false dichotomy. Perfect balance isn’t desirable. But neither is 100% spread between best and worst classes ( as far as DPS goes )
It might be just because it’s been my primary class since I started taking the game seriously, but I never feel as “in control” healing a dungeon as when I’m playing my HPal.
They pump heals, they do good damage, they provide good utility to the group, and disc is tuned horribly at the moment. Holy was always a decent spec since SL launched, Disc was just always insanely good.
Funnily enough Disc is the least played healer spec at every level of M+.
Perfect balance is impossible. People will always figure out what is best even if it is by 1% and that will be the meta. All of the non Hpriest healers are viable for 99.5% of player’s keys.
You say this but a lot of people straight up only look for rsham or hpriest in even 10~15 keys.
Sure, but most people are pretty dumb. You can run literally anything until the upper 20’s and time keys. That’s a community issue that blizzard can’t really do that much to solve.
10-15 keys, most people will take any healer as it doesn’t really matter there. I won’t lie, I came across a few bad Paladins and tend to overlook them for any key ![]()
unless you’re doing world class content in a solid AT, you don’t have to worry much - and can focus more on the player imo. ![]()
there’s always going to be a meta choice
