I hate to say it but…unfortunately probably not.

A quick trip to the CS forum will show someone complaining he got a 10 day Suspension for Ongoing Harassment. Various other posts also complaining they got Suspended instead of just Silenced.

Harassment, especially on-going harassment definitely includes a stiffer penalty if we’ve gotten that far. To answer the original question, as Moonchylde mentioned, penalties do escalate. We try to provide warnings and ample opportunity to correct the offending behavior so often the first penalty for chat violations would normally be a short silence. The OP has the info they need at this point to Ignore, report, and track anyone behaving that way. If they have further questions on policy or procedure they can head to the CS forum and ask. It serves as an Information desk.
