Wil blizz option to port anniversary server toons to era once tbc launches?

I want to know if I should level my alts there for now.

As far as I know, there has been no official statement that suggests there would be any way to transfer Anniversary toons to Era.

If there is any information beyond this, perhaps someone can post it.

as of right now, no, there are no official plans for an option to transfer to era :expressionless: and intuitively it makes no sense to offer one, what with dual speck and all.

Maybe there’s something I’m missing but couldn’t they just clear your talents when you transfer?

maybe they can :expressionless: but should they? that’s the real question
frankly i think anniversary characters are too different to just get a free transfer to era

The difference is people used to play games to have fun.
Now it’s super cereal business.

In what way are they different?

i kinda doubt it, era doesn’t have dual spec

you can change specs at any point you want out in the world and you’re asking how this is different? :expressionless:

you can have your dawl spewk. just don’t expect to transfer to era, where such a thing does not exist. i think that’s a fine deal.

Yes I was asking because I don’t play it. You can bring dual spec in era easy fix

Intuitively it makes perfect sense actually. They are judging the overwhelmingly positive response to dual spec and will be adding it to era when TBC is ready to come out.

they’re not going to ruin era to allow your anniversary transfers :expressionless: sorry

lots of retail features are popular. doesn’t mean they’re coming to era :expressionless:

How is more people combined with a quality of life improvement without changing the game bad?

Lol Eyr is still down so bad after swearing for years it would never come.

He needs to buckle up… because DS is 100% coming to era.

Clenn please understand: I believe poor Eyr, bless her soul kisses cross, has a fairly large grudge against anyone who chooses to play on Anniversary realms. So much so, that she believes the anniversary realm’s player base being mixed in to the Era realm’s player base should never be allowed as some form of punishment for them demanding and/or accepting an easier game mode including dual specializations.
Although it is unappealing to have players who wants to steer classic Era towards easier gameplay, but Eyr’s wrath against those players goes a bit too far.

Please, God, deliver Eyr from the evil and from the deadly sin of wrath, and allow her to find forgiveness and acceptance in her heart.
Please, God, let her continue to use the expressionless face in all her texts, as a symbol of being stoic so that others may laugh in her forgoing expression.

Nothing says “easier gameplay” like era where you swipe your credit card for thousands of gold, enter naxx in full greens and walk out with the best gear in the game.

But Eyr has the audacity to call anniversary “easy” and “not authentic” because I am able to swap my priest from full healer to shadow when i feel like trying to earn some gold in my spare time.

The horror.

Yes people shouldn’t be allowed to buy their progress with real money.
But also, yes dual spec being allowed in classic is an “easier mode” of classic.
You can switch from healer to shadow priest by default in classic, it just costs you gold.
Removing that gold cost = easier game. Simple as.

People just simply dont play the game / play as much as an alternative. Or they swipe gold as the alternative.

So you are comparing “harder” with “easier”… when you need to be comparing “option” vs “nothing at all / cheating”

Could you be more clear?
People “don’t play the game or play as much as an alternative” to what? To dual specializing?
lol maybe some people can’t handle the game without dual specs and quit, but that’s definitely the minority and they’re the types of players that should be playing retail to be honest, fam.

Buying progression = less time consumed to earn progress yourself = easier game.
Dual specialization = less time consumed earning gold to buy spec change = easier game.
Simple as.
