Vanilla explored very mature themes. Some of wich were in the game, but others that were known only in the books. Still, we’re talking some very hardcore stuff. Over the years the game has been losing it’s maturity. I’ll just point at the virtual ticket rewards for an example. They’re completely immersion breaking. I do not feel like I’m about to fight an old god when everyone is wearing yeti outfits.
Now the game has always had a degree of goofyness, wich is fine…
But the game shouldn’t feel CORNY <-------
Now let’s just picture WoW rated M. The blood! The brutality! The succubi!
It’s a game about demons, dragons, and old gods, right?
I feel the current rating just hinders the story telling.
Thoughts?
You’ll find your gallon of blood in the Old World of Warhammer.
Here you will find nothing more than a theme park stuck perpetually in a limbo of eternal war where neither side makes any significant gains and anything that makes either faction strong or powerful is either marginalized or stripped away entirely at the whims of narrow sighted devs and writers at Blizz behest.
On topic: The story is already distasteful enough, we don’t need a detailed onscreen view of horde soldiers cleaving innocents in half and eating/burning babies, because that’s what the next step would be with the current writers.
