Why would frost want DnD back

Hi. Since Frost can’t currently use two handers, I main blood. D&D is excellent for slowing opponents down, knocking rogues out of stealth, and stopping folks from eating.

#1 To break stealth.
#2 maybe theyll give it a frosty-like passive slow to it for FDKs
#3 one of the 4 faction abilities in SL revolves around DND, so this is probably the main reason for its return.

Then don’t use it? They aren’t adding these abilities to become rotational, you know… ignorant teenager.

If they really wanted to make it cool and unique for Frost DKs, they could replace D&D and call that “Permafrost” where it makes a frigid patch on the ground that infects people who stand in it with frostbite, slowing movement and attack speed and it stacks, ultimately culminating in Gangrene which would be a lasting DoT that inhibits healing. :man_shrugging:

The entire point of these is to bring back the feel that you are a death knight. You know, like classes use to be and share some base abilities.

The point is to unprune, yes. Personally, I don’t like the homogenization of classes. I like the spec identity they brought with legion. Most of the classes, I would prefer to revert back to MoP, but I do like stuff that makes sense. :man_shrugging:

You can not compare live spell/ability damage to alpha. Current damage no longer matters as BFA is effectively in the past. The only thing that does is how spells work and how much damage they do as the alpha shapes up.

I could see it being interesting if they brought back presences, but had them alter how some abilities like D&D worked. Like that as was suggested it became more of a frost snaring/slowing field (other idea a attack speed slowing field) in frost presence, maybe a blood/leeching field in blood, and a in unholy maybe gains a pet buffing aspect to it while in the field.

Specialization just means you specialize in a certain aspect within the class. So frost is frost abilities, it doesn’t mean that everything turns into frost based abilities.

for targetted aoe to get rogues out.

I’m still pissed they took away unholy blight

I agree with Kelliste. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. DK’s have already been whittled down to the bone over the years

I would say its almost a garentee they are going to make a frost interaction with it. As it stands right now there is a covenant ability directly replacing / further augmenting DnD’s cleaving for Unholy and Blood. I really doubt they would make 1/4 of the covenant abilities do literally nothing for 1 spec.

How do you not know DnD is for Rogues?

Wait, are you a Legion developer?

It doesn’t do nothing for frost. The cleave mechanic has been in game for a while, it’s the str buff that looks appealing, especially for frost with pillar.

At this point I think they added it now so that the night fae covenant ability is applicable to frost.

It iconic tho if they add shadowfrost it would help in damage. Also if frost got Hungering cold back instead it would be better

Same thing with DC and icy touch
