Why was phase 2 so short?

was it because there were a lot less players in phase two than phaseone?

why would there be less players in phase 2? please feel free to voice your opinion as to why less people player phase 2 than phase 1?

Cuz it was trash.

It was shorter than Phase 1 because Phase 1 had two weeks of holidays in it in the form of Christmas and New Year.

So Blizzard took time off.

They didn’t take time off this time.

Because getting to 40 is harder than getting to 25.

everyone i talked to thus far has explained that they didn’t play phase 2 because the gdkp ban.

so i suppose if the gdkp ban stays then phase 3 will also have a very small playerbase.

cause gnomer sucks, i hated it before and i hate it now, worse dungeon in the game

clearly i wasnt alone in this

I think that phase 1 was just a little longer than intended due to Christmas/New Year holidays, and that this is more-or-less on track for the pace of this season.

This.

P1 was 8 Weeks + 2 Weeks Vacation
P2 was 8 weeks.

but this doesn’t explain why there were so many less players in phase 2 compared to phase 1…

the only difference was that there were no gdkps in phase 2.

so im guessing if the gdkp ban stays then phase 3 will also be pretty dead.

I love how we’re still getting crybaby GDKP threads after all this time, lmao.

The GDKP alt brigade is out in force.

“dead”

I bet more companies wished they could be developing ‘dead’ games with hundreds of thousands of active players, lol.

retail has hundreds of thousands of players - sod has probably like 10k max across all regions.

it sucked and the balance tuning was half baked, shamans went on for too long along with S priests in their powercreep the only one they actually reeled in were hunters

Cuz why would u need to play more than 1 shaman?

it seems as though people just weren’t interested in playing a game where the developers forced them to play one way and one way only.

Actually according to some data which was released and extrapolated from Bellular, SoD has close to the number of players of classic and retail COMBINED. Least on launch it did. Hard to tell now, definitely lower then before though. That’s normal though.

yeah SoD phase one was really fun but phase 2 was kinda meh because of the GDKP ban.

i bet the most amount of SoD players are found in Taiwan where there is no GDKP ban.

oh well, SoD was special but no GDKPs really did ruin it.

Even the unofficial data we have proves this isn’t true lmao. Unless you think the 327,898 characters that ran Gnomergan a few weeks ago were represented by 10,000 real people playing 32.7 alts apiece, loooool

well isn’t there a big problem with bots? those were probably all bots running gnomer to vendor the raw gold from boss drops.
