Why was Claws of Shirvallah removed?

I guess because mechanically they didn’t like how the talent affected the feral playstyle. The better question is why didn’t the form itself return with the revamped and expanded pool of druid forms?

And the better better question, is why did they give us a bipedal cat form and then animate it to always run on all fours anyway??

cause it sucked and most people didnt like it. i hated that talent. i wasnt a fan of nelf cat form but i liked it over that weird cat humanoid thing

This is what I want to know. This is what they need to do.

The talent was removed because it wasn’t performing the way they wanted. The form should be added back in.

Being able to cast cyclone in cat form was really good. :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

They probably decided Saberon were a sapient race, not just sentient, and that it didn’t make sense as a druid form.

The fact they had Saberon run off into the Durotar Wilds during the Maghar recruitment seems to imply they plan to use them later.

Moonkin are sentient, but not sapient.

you were able to do that without having claws. it was a really weird decision for a talent

you were not able to cyclone & heal in cat form without shirvallah talented during wod iirc

But you are not turning into a Saberon per say. It is more akin to the old tiger and panther bosses from vanilla ZG and the new panther boss in the Cata ZG. That is what the talent was basing itself on. Just they used the Saberon model for it since it was an updated model compared to the vanilla ones. And WoD was the expansion that gave us the updating player models after all.

Bloodtalons was too good to pass up, back then it was every Predatory Swiftness heal gave you Bloodtalon buff. Cat man form was cool, but that 5% versatility and a different cat form wasn’t worth the difference of an on demand Ferocious Bite/Rip buff.

If they weren’t on the same talent line then sure I would have gotten both.

How do you figure that?

This is incorrect.

I think moonkin only get a pass cause the mother moon connection and all that. They are basically the same as saberon. They can have a society and all that jazz just like a human. They just dont cause they are still like half feral and its not needed for their race to survive.

Could also be no saberon form because there were druids, npcs, against it and blizz didnt want to do any storytelling for all that drama. Itd be just like a druid turning into a vulpera.

The form was great. The talent itself was bad. They nerfed it so hard that it wasn’t even a viable option.

yeah indeed, personally the time i used it was during the wod last patch ptr… where you could freely create a full mythic (plus legendary ring) character or full pvp geared character.
I took my opportunity to play around it dueling people during that time.
I miss that ptr

I always felt, and still do, that CoS should have just been a cosmetic glyph for those who like it.

Yes, but change the animations. I want a cat man! Not a man cat!

Because blizzard hates cats, and thunder cats

We don’t work with logic here, much like the iron docks captain, they think good.
