i agree they think much good.
What iāve suspected is because the model clips into itself and Shirvallah, the loa, already hated druidism.
Although nowadays Shirvallah is being represented in Hearthstone for paladins.
edit: Although inventing a reason Shirvallah is interested in druidism is better.
The model used the old worgen rigging and was pretty broken with a lot of clipping and lacked some animations, it was also primarily a talent chosen for pvp (or if you were like me and just to lazy to run bloodtalons while doing open world stuff)
They should probably bring the form back now that we have all the barbershop customization options for feral; same with boomy getting arrakoa option for a sun/nature themed look.
The actual function could be baked into a pvp talent now that they have their own separate system. Casting inform was nice and a pain point for druid in general; with the gcd to shift and so many talent points being wasted at the top of the tree for off spec spells.
Oh? Whereās that from? Iām not finding any lore on it. I only found this:
By the time of the war in Draenor, troll druids had created a way for all druids to take on a half-tiger form like those of Shirvallahās champions
Shirvallah lore seems to be kind of sparse.
Also: I wish that my Zandalariās face could look more normal like that.
Gonkās small story about the Loa being trapped in the Emerald Dream, the other Loa werenāt happy with druidism affecting their faiths-- maybe thereās something unfair as the Wild Gods in druidism have to tend to Elune shrines and artifacts.
Source needed
ābring back Claws of Shirvallahā seems to be a fairly common request on forums/reddit/etc, so Iām just not seeing these alleged people that ādidnt like itā
More normal as in more human?
Huh. Iāll have to look that up. Loa are Wild Gods, so Iām confused now. Thanks for helping! Iāll get to researching!
If it helps to understand, the Emerald Dream and Wild Gods lore has continued to change but itās settled at Elune (which has now become a galaxy and dimension traveling god) created the Emerald Dream which created the Wild Gods. Previously it was part of the Titanās creation for a blueprint of Azeroth although it looks like part of the Shadowlands lately.
Well, some Loa are wild gods. Not ones like Bwonsamdi surely. I think thereās plenty of blurring and crossover in what you can call these godlike beings. They kind of just lump themselves into whichever categories suit them culturally. I think Qāonzu said something to the effect. They are a Loa because their followers call them a Loa, or something. The August Celestials are also wild gods, but that doesnāt make them Loa. Because the people of Pandaria donāt call them Loa.
Is there a book or something that Iām missing?
Thatās why I said Loa are Wild Gods. Not the other way around. But lore has since changed. So who knows how many of the Loa were the original story at this point.
Only some recent changes with Elune in Shadowlands and Dragonflight.
- Eluneās night warrior wraith was used on another planet. (Although some out of game sources state sheās worshipped even far away in the Dark Great Beyond)
- Elune is a sibling of the Eternal Ones.
- Elune gifted (her lover?) Eonar with the Emerald Dream.
But none of that claims what youāre saying.
Elune is worshipped on many planets, yes. Sheās supposedly part of the Life Pantheon and will bestow her visage.
Considered āsisterā to the Winter Queen. Again, supposedly part of the Life Pantheon.
No, she was given a seed that she planted on Azeroth.
The Emerald Dream is blueprints of Azeroth either created by Freya or Freya tapped into Azerothās dreams to create.
Sure, but Bwonsamdi isnāt. Thatās all i was pointing out. There are some powerful beings in the world on a godlike level, and it doesnt matter too much how you get there. Wild Gods are just naturally powerful, but sometimes a being can be elevated to great power. As with Bwonsamdi. And, presumably one day, Volājin. Then depending where they are in the world, their followers may call them a Loa, or a Celestial.
Yep yep. I was just explaining the difference between the two statements. The term encompasses everything from Wild Gods to wisp spirits. So I guess revised, I should say many Loa are Wild Gods. But not all Wild Gods are Loa.
I think you got the idea better than I do.
I saw some tweeting about this a few months ago. Some people were suggesting that this could be the flavour they go with for darkspear troll paladins. Making them followers of Shirvallah. I think that would be awesome. I mean theyāve got tigers all over their islands.
Loa is a troll thing. They call whatever being they worship Loaās.
the turtle ppl also use the term loa. As well as some researchers and even gnomes used it to identify Bwonsamdi.
