They might as well just remove the class restriction. They’ve already nullified the set bonuses so there’d be no conflict there.

They won’t be. You will still be able to do all quests on all characters. It will just tell you the quests you have already done on other characters so you don’t have to repeat them if you don’t want to.

They aren’t. You still have to level each character individually.

The feature is that when you do a quest for the first time it is the usual yellow ! above the NPC’s head. For every character after that the ! will be grey, indicating that you’ve already done it. It doesn’t stop you from doing the quest again. Just tells you you’ve alreay done it once.

Doesn’t it allow you to send over gear you get from dungeons though? Like previously BoP gear.

Example: A warlock gets a piece he doesn’t want, I ask him for it, he gives it to me, I then send it over to my warlock as an account-bound item?

Or am I understanding this wrong?

If that’s the case then every boss in every heroic is going to have at least one person whispering you to trade the cloth drop you got because their warlock (in Canada) could use it.

Thats not the problem, the problem was if i wanted to go back on a new character and do old quests.

You say that like it’s a bad thing.
If I don’t want the piece, I share it.

I do too if someone asks. But there’s a difference between occasionally getting asked versus every boss in every run having everyone whispering each other. Just getting a trade window to open will be hard enough, because they’ll already be trading with someone else.

Anyways I don’t necessarily think it’s going to be a problem per se. Just imagining what a cluster it might be at first. It’s amusing.

I don’t know, I feel like it’s one of those things we go “oh yeah that’s a thing now” and it won’t be the chaos you’re expecting.

Probably (hopefully) not. Time will tell.

And I’m saying this as an enchanter. I know I’m getting losses with this, but it’s a game, idc.

I don’t get the idea folks asking for account-wide leveling care about that, one way or the other.

In fact, I get the distinct impression they would like it if leveling went away altogether and the resources used for ‘the real game’ as in more instances. All accessed from one hub so they don’t have to ‘waste’ time traveling.

Which is fair.

Folks were perfectly willing to sacrifice immersion and role-play features in the name of convenience and efficiency; it would just be one more step down that road.

So pretty much plunderstorm but for the game. I would defently be gone if they got rid of the open world, quests, and so on.

Its not that deep guys. They are just making a bunch of things account wide and thought warband/warbound sounds cooler. And you can pick 4 characters to sit around a campfire on the character select screen.

The account wide systems aren’t limited to 4 characters, they aren’t taking away questing from alts, leveling isnt going to be account wide, they aren’t getting rid of the open world, yada yada.

I don’t see that happening, ever.

Open world questing is the biggest part of the game, and there’s a large part of the player base who don’t participate in instanced content, which is why we’ve gotten new open world group scenarios every single large content patch in Dragonflight.

I think the confusion about Warband is that players thought you had to select four characters for the camp screen and they thought they were the only characters in your war and.

Or in other words they didn’t read or listen to every explanation of what Warbands will be.

incoming reeeeing of people against it for whatever reason.

Hey, if people want to play an account, whatever.

I just want an opt-out because I play individual characters and don’t want things like Scryers rep showing up on my human warrior when she not only did not earn it but she hates blood elves or Aldor rep showing up on my dwarf priest when she purposely went Scryer because she thinks the Aldor are all a bunch of crazy fanatics.

devs already said rep like that isnt going to be warbands.

one thing I dont understand is why those TWing badges or whatever theyre called arent account wide.
If Im playing your game blizzard, stop making things like this complicated, just let me spend them on any character like trader tenders, for god sake
