OR you know, you could have some actual decent tension against the ONE PERSON avatar of vengeance Tyrande could agree to fight against with, and instead of this “Oh looks like we’re all friends again” you could have real tension and have Tyrande repeat that “Once this is dealt with, I am coming for you as soon as I am done with Ashenvale.” You don’t need to revert her, because Azshara is the perfect person to fill this roll and make this “Working with the other team…again” story line something different and not gag worthy.
I guess we will have to agree to disagree on this one man I just don’t see it
Yeah, let’s team up with the same “heroes” who led the Horde on a murder mission through Ashenvale and Darkshore, and then set Teldrassil aflame.
That’s fine really, I just really hate the idea of Genn being okay with working with the faction that nearly burned his wife alive, just making jokes with them, and having to say I think working with the other team isn’t a joke regardless.
We could have something different, something more how real people would act “I hate these people but the world ends unless we attack in this direction instead of at each other.” rather then being buddy buddy…again.
Furthermore, Azshara and N’zoth aren’t even the biggest threat to Azeroth right now. The Horde are.
Wait Gen is in this arc? Dear God no
Yeah, running right alongside Lor’themar, the both of them having a playful di#k measuring contest of “YOu fight well for an elf” “You fight well for a wolf” “It’s a shame we’ve never gotten the chance to face each other.” “Indeed, killing you would be a waste.”
That’s what I mean, you have someone like Genn The Wall Greymane, who almost had his wife burn alive in Teld, making quips with someone that’s part of the faction that did it. This is the guy willing to actually attack the Warchief during a demon invasion. If HE can be making quips, I have no idea why Tyrande can’t be all “No fck the Horde forever, but fck Azshara slightly more.”
I mean I could see it happening loth and the blood elves weren’t nearly as involved as say saurfang and nathanos but there would need to be a lot of build up to pull that off it makes no sense that one of the alliance’s war Hawks would get a long so well with guy who is all about being cool Calm and collected. They have completely different personalities and objectives they wouldn’t get a long in normal circumstances without everything that’s happened top that on you’re talking about a long story arc of unlikely friendship
But Nathanos is with the Horde in Nazjatar. He doesnt take a main role or anything, but Sylvanas’s second in command is around, and the Alliance know that and Genn is STILL just chilling.
Those two hate each other I assumed one would kill the other during this expac… This is terrible story writing
Teldrassil will be swept under the rug and blamed all on Sylvanas in the end, so any character story involving revenge against the entire Horde seems pointless to me at this point, because it’s not happening.
Which of course means Tyrande should have no problems working with Horde either, as long as Sylvanas isn’t there.
Exactly! THis is a sunk ship (Pun intended I guess) regardless at this point, why not at least have Tyrande around everyones going to catch the stupid. If Genn of al people are chill, why not just let Tyrande have some closure with Azshara. It’d be bad, yes, but if it’s going to be trash regardless, might as well make it shiny trash.
Yeah, they could have Tyrande be as verbally aggressive to the Horde characters as she’d like. As long as she doesn’t do something like smite Thalyssra with a moonbeam, the peace would still be maintained.
It just seems like the devs are deliberately keeping her away from Darkshore Warfront and now Nazjatar for some yet to be seen reason. I thought it may have something to do with Sylvanas, and Tyrande gained some insight about the Banshee Queen’s true intentions through her bond with Elune via the Night Warrior. And now she’s moving alone and in secret to avoid tipping off Sylvanas.
I just doubt they’re keeping Tyrande away just to mess with people. But who knows…
I dunno, having her do some secret stealthy thing just doesn’t seem to fit at all with AVATAR OF ELUNES WRATH. It’d be great if just during the time the Alliance own the warfront, she’s running around as an invincible npc murdering everything with a red banner her patrol path takes her by.
BUt overall yeah thats what I mean, have Tyrande over and over reinforce the point that this is not peace, this is dealing with Azshara and she is going to super murder everyone when she’s done, maybe at the end of the raid ahve her say something like “If the nightborne and sin’dorei leave Sylvanas I won’t uber smite you…all.”
Haha, I was thinking the moment after Azshara is defeated, she’d turn to Lor’themar and Thalyssra and say “You both have 10 seconds to get the hell out of my sight, so I suggest you start running now!”
Isn’t there datamined dialog for after the raid where Lor’themar is telling someone on the Alliance (Jaina?) that he’s done with Sylvanas and will tell the rest of his people? It would have been interesting to see how Tyrande would take that. But alas
Yeah he does, but he’s worried his people won’t side with him, which makes me feel like the choice to go Saurfang is weird for him, since he’s always been about his peeps.
“You have 10 seconds to run and I started counting while I was speaking so…”
Would the average sin’dorei citizen really care what he does as long as the Alliance isn’t marching on Silvermoon City? The Saurfang option is the way to go in that case.
But there are those that will always look at Sylvanas as a hero to their people, so they may be reluctant to move against her.
Lor’themar: Then I will take my place beside Saurfang and Thrall, and pray that the sin’dorei stand with me.
That’s the line specifically, I just think it’s telling that he’s not sure of his people.
Well that is when trying to rescue Baine. Lor’themar and Thalyssra weren’t involved in the War of Thorns and likely didn’t even know about the plan. Baine didn’t and he was on the same continent.
I can get people hating on Thalyssra for joining the horde but out of the Horde leaders she has probably been one of the least involved in actual attacks on the Alliance. Her main contribution so far was helping infiltrate Stormwind to rescue Talanji.
@Op: late to the party, OP. I kinda mentioned this trainwreck is what happens when people tries and fails to copy “A Song of Ice and Fire” since last week.
I already told your buddy he got it wrong - not surprising considering his record in regards to reading comprehension-, Nightborne are NOT discount Nelves but actually discount Belves with a reskin (no cultural similitud whatsoever between Nightborne and WC3+ Nelves dude).
