Why Tyrande isn't part of Nazjatar/Eternal Palace

That’s quite literally what the datamined stuff for her is.

I know it is just wishful thinking, but she could totally appear 5 minutes in Nazjatar at least

If what you say is true then I’ll take. I don’t have to like it but I’ll take it over not having her there at all.

See, I feel like this is about as bad as not having her. This is the equivalent of the Hordes role on Argus. The final fight against the Legion, the big bad…and the Hordes contribution is Liadrin and nightborne dude standing in the corner. For this it’s Naga, finally the main bad guys, Azshara, someone massivly linked to Tyrande and her contribution is…porting in for half a second for a conversation that changes nothing cause Shandris was already doing it, then leaving.

I just want to point out that I’m still wretchedly disappointed that we aren’t getting Malfurion vs Azshara Part II, or Gothic Sailor Elune vs Azshara.

The last time Azshara and 'Furion went at it, we got continents.

I know we joke about Thrall kill-stealing Garrosh from us, but I’d happily take my popcorn and lawn chair and watch either of those two bouts.

As I said I really hate the idea of Night Elves not spearheading the assault against Azshara but if Blizzard give us the idea that it was Tyrande who chose to aproach it differently by placing Shandris in charge of it then It’d be better that what Orcs had on Argus who didn’t even have a choice in the matter.
Anyway I’m slowly starting to detach myself from the game because of this horrible story decision Blizz keep dumping over Tyrande and Nighe Elves as a whole.

I hear you there. Like, WoD was bad story wise and had dumb stuff, but I really don’t think it was this aggressively insulting to the players who liked the characters involved.

Exactly this. I noticed that I’ve been playing far less WoW than I ever have since I began during TBC. Not even during WoD did I play this little. I realized that part of it is that, as stupid as WoD’s story was, it wasn’t insultingly bad. It didn’t make me angry with each new devlopment. It was just…dumb and unnecessary. BfA’s story actively makes my mood worse when I think about it/experience it in game.

It also doesn’t help that I despise a lot of the gameplay this expansion (class design, azerite armor, heart of azeroth farming, island expeditions, boring dungeons, elimination of tier sets, etc.).

Yeah I am in that exact same boat. I described it to a friend that like, during Legion, I had a discord that had a wowhead bot in it and everytime I saw that channel updated I was all “Oh what new thing is happening?” like looking forward to it. But everytime I see it for ANYTHING BfA related I genuinely feel a little uneasy in my stomach and think “What is it this time?”. I’ve always been passionate about wow and have a close friend whos a major lore nut like me and we could talk for hours about whatevers, but now whenever we talk, one word just sends me off into a genuinely unpleasant rant about BfAs story and game design.

The best parts of WoD we’re the zones that had the basically nothing to do with the expansion’s overarching plot

Spires is in my top 3 favorite zones in the game, it was just so comfy. Plus it handled the shadows versus light theme better than BfA

Spires was legit fantastic, the first time I did it it blew me away. (Outside of Taylors death).

like, i get it.
what if azshara doesn’t die? because we assaulting her palace is what she really wants, so one would think that she didn’t really planned her death.
like i said, MAYBE they are planning something different for tyrande and this isn’t really the last time that we see azshara.

And come on now, is clear that blizzard is making us working with the horde, do we really want that for tyrande?
but yeah, if azshara does die and we don’t even have a single dialogue of tyrande, then i just seriously don’t understand what the hell blizzard is doing.

At this point I am not willing to give the writers any benefit of the doubt, and even if there is something down the line for Azshara and Tyrande, having Tyrande have 0 interaction with her AT ALL in this patch is just ridiculous, hell they could just have Azshara turn up to taunt her or something when shes giving Shandris that talk, and have her say something like “I have more important things to worry about then some slave queen.” to drop a sass bomb on her and go.

D.) Elune is the Big Bad and both Tyrande and Sylvanas(her eyes darken when receiving Xal’atath) are her agents.

Furthermore Elune is the lady that was inside Xal’atath(she calls Naaru beloved brethren who will return to their masters in time and Elune is the mother of the Naaru Prime) and wants N’Zoth dead now that her pact with him is done.

My favorite zone was either Shadowmoon Valley or Talador, simply because I was beyond excited to see draenei civilization at its height.

Given the events involving the Kul-Tran fleet and Stormsong Valley, it’s not that beyond the pale to have Jaina involved in following up.

Now if the conspiracy OP were actually true about Blizzard’s intention to subvert expectations, instead of Jaina, it would be Khadgar who’s all of a sudden front and center.

This has been addressed before, but what I and others mean is having Jaina be THE alliance representative, not like how Thaly is bantering with her and Lor’themar is there doing elf stuff, Jaina is both doing the role Lor’themar has for the Horde over there, as well as Thaly’s role of going after Azshara instead of just the equivalent of Lor’themars role.

Alright, but try this one on for size.

Tyrande’s not in Nazjatar because she wasn’t aboard the ships chasing Sylvanas, because she’s busy cutting a bloody swath of vengeance through Kalimdor’s northern forests.

Only there’s datamined stuff oh her showing up through a portal for a second, having a chat with Shandris then leaving.

okay, I give up, that’s pretty dumb.
I’m going to bed.
