some people are new like me… took me 2 months to hit 60 completely new to WoW… havent touched any other game since classic dropped and i dont plan on any other game for atleast another year
We understand that you pushed past the content way faster then most. We understand that you’re also bored with the state of the game. I can’t speak for anyone but myself but have you considering investing your time in something other then Classic wow? This is a game released 15 years ago and it shouldn’t be super taxing in terms of time and what not to accomplish. Remember, take all things in moderating, even World of Warcraft!
Also note, I think the 20hours a week I play is a bit much! Since you hit 60 in the first month, I can guarantee you played more then 20hours a week, and you want to play more!
Agreed, the pvp system is a must have, right now the pvp players have nothing to do except gank for the lulz.
Hardcore raiders will always complain, and they always have, but that said since the content was mastered over a decade ago even very casual guilds are blowing through it.
My gut says the loss of the casual base will end Classic quickly; and is maybe why Blizz has a history of catering to casuals. However, you cant please everyone with #nochanges. Its fascinating to see how Blizzard will balance their release pace after phase two
There’s not really anything they can do. Vanilla was out for 3 years and casuals were still doing MC/ony/ZG. No matter how much time you give they are going to be “behind”
12+ raid team clearing MC on earthfury, (not the hardcore faerlina-herod-stalagg server).
not 12 raid team starting to raid… 12 team killing rag. at minimum, that’s only the one i can think of on top of my head, I wouldn’t be surprised if the real number is nearing 20.
as far as no-lifing goes… I now spend less than 2 hours per week on WoW. that’s some serious no-lifing for you.
I really don’t see the issue with releasing the content at an excelerated rate since for the most part it isn’t going to negatively impact the game; People will still need to get to 60, still need to gear up by running raid tiers and still need to grind honor for PVP ranks.
Further, the simple fact is that end game classic offers very little in phase one for players to do; once you have your BiS you can either be a campy bastard in pvp or grind the raids for other guildies to get there gear… and that’s about it.
IMHO, they need to release BG’s more then anything else and that doesn’t happen till after phase 3.
Where is the huge fuss? I saw a trend in the community not represented on the forums and spoke for them even though I am ready for phase 2.
To be honest Vlonk what I’m feeling from you is that you are one or the posters that frequents these forums looking to pick a fight. You have brought nothing or actual value to this conversation and I’m not going to engage with you any further in this thread.
I think the vanilla world record to reach 60 was four and a half days and the classic record was just under four. I feel like you are labeling anything outside of world record range as “inefficient”. I believe average time to 60 is much closer to the 8 day figure you call “inefficient” than it is to the world records.
Aside from that obvious distortion of the truth, all that “inefficiency” you have such disdain for is the actual game. Leveling tradeskills, helping friends, exploring the world… you know… playing the actual game.
False, that’s the main reason I’m upset that they’re pushing P2 so fast. I just got to 60 playing 20hours a week.
If I wanted an alt to be at level 60 I should either
a) quit my day job or
b) dump my girlfriend.
There’s no way I could get two level 60s w/o giving this game my undivided attention with my current life in just over 2 months.
Thank you for the well thought out post Lucavitha. My one concern with that is that it is already becoming difficult for people to get pre-bis because groups only farm certain bosses now. I do think that people getting in BWL gear and being able to pass on MC gear could help the casaul not able to get them 5 man runs they need.
But that doesn’t mean every raid member is raid logging… Does each 40-man raid member already have their pre BiS? My guild just killed Rag this week for the first time, I just got Ony attuned and will join my guild for their 2nd kill this week. I still need many pieces of pre BiS, as do many of my guild members so just because a guild has cleared MC doesn’t mean the entire team starts raid logging.
