Why The Rush Blizzard?

No you don’t, don’t pretend that’s what you want. You want the game to cater to your casual playstyle, just like BfA does. Content released in Vanilla when a tiny minority had conquered the previous content.

calm down “pal”… its 11 weeks…still does not fit the OP timeline and assumptions made…

put your keyboard warrior pants back in the draw

Well having people hit 50% is “not” the majority…

  1. Because Vanilla had about 3-5 million subscribers

  2. Classic only has about 2 million in its entirety

  3. Allowing other to catch up mean more players available for those 40 mans, more Tanks, Healers for instance.

  4. Give people freedom to play alts and not feel they are being left behind on there mains.

I am not a casual, I probably have more /played time then you do. I am just playing the game and not racing to level cap.

You said “cross” that 50% threshold. That’s a majority buddy.

That’s your problem then. We shouldn’t have to wait for you to smell the roses.

Agreed, but content shouldn’t be released faster because you rushed through it!

It’s not even close to 40%.

What that screenshot shows you is the reason why you shouldn’t use census apps in an api that doesn’t support the function.

What that addon is doing is taking a /who of each zone. The problem is the return for each zone will be limited via return queries. The return query is sorted by level and limited to 100 queries.

For example:

There are 1,000 people in a zone. 50 of them are level 60. Query returns a list of 100 results. 50 of which are level 60. Ergo population is 50% level 60.

Actual population demographic: 5% level 60, 95% Other.

A census app will never return actual pop data as long as the api is no longer supported that’s why development stopped for them in July.

Take those screen shots with a grain of salt. A Dodgers stadium sized grain of salt.

You don’t even know what you’re talking about, rofl.

50 results, not 100. You’re a wee bit off there laddy.

The addon uses a manual SendWho() function as Blizzard restricted the API. It’s 99% accurate and your attempts to disparage the data with blatant misinformation is laughable.

Nobody knows the exact population numbers and the percentage of players at 60 except Blizzard. Basing your arguments around numbers you hallucinate as accurate is worthless and ultimately irrelevant to my point.

If Blizzard came out and said “hey guys we looked at our data and determined a sufficient amount of our playerbase was advanced enough to begin phase 2” then I would have never have made the post in the first place. I do not want to spend my summer getting flattened by Mights of Menethil and would appreciate a little communication so I can make informed decisions

Thanks to everyone making passionate posts in the thread so far (even those who disagree) we have good people here.

Naxx within a year would be great.

Reading over your post actually disgusts me. I haven’t seen that much lying and misinformation in a post in a long time.

you have a better sample?

my guild is fielding 120+ lvl 60 for 3 different raid team. LFG channel is filled with people looking for strat-scholo, my lvl 35 alts I made just to have more transmute CD skipped WC-BFD-RFK-SM cause there was no group available.

What’s your hill your willing to die on? ‘’ I am low level therefor the majority is’’ ?

and releasing BWL won’t impact your fun.

why do you want to impact ours? other than your own little selfish being?

the most popular MMORPG ever who’s still number 1 after 15 years, in a time where most game crumble to dust before their 10 years anniversary?

Did you think that through?

He has to be trolling.

I guess he’s never taken a look around Ironforge or any of the chat channels. I guess he’s never looked at his guild tab. I guess he’s never looked at the levels of the people posting on this forums. I guess he’s never looked at his own level.

or because there’s no reason to return to those dungeon after you got the few pieces you need from them.

one or the other.

BWL didnt release in vanilla until 7.5 months after release.

Not saying to hold off until mid April (7.5 months), but its only been less than 2.5 months since launch…

but we didn’t have dozen of guild per server killing rag 2 months in either.

Yes you are correct! I want to relive vanilla

then you should be happy we give you the opportunity to get that true vanilla feel : being hopelessly behind the top guild on your server, having your members poached, getting crushed by epic’d out BG teams… that’s what happened in vanilla!

Just because we had some try hard guild do great game play should not merit speeding content.

you keep using ‘speed’ and ‘rush’.

that’s only your point of view. the 100+ people in my guild raid-logging says otherwise.

Thats great, SPEED / RUSH both specifically used to quantify players like you wanting new content before its intended release.

Says the other 1,999,899 players not in your guild!
