I want to point out something with this actually, whenever it comes up. People bring up “well… that’s a special ritual.” Which is correct.
But.
We could get Nathanos-like skins for Forsaken through the human vampyr. Think about it - we saw the vampirates in Legion, and know it’s a curse that really… is up in the air and open.
Perhaps that customization could be unlocked with San’layn, but I’ve talked about San’layn plenty here. I do think that while the ritual is a barrier for Nathanos undead, human vampire (as we saw with vampirates) is possible, to be honest.
My RPing is somewhat affected the most by new options and getting said options. So I take issue with the suggestions thread being flooded by slapfights over what is already a forgone conclusion with a very easy solution that you all apparently can’t grasp.
I don’t have a side you paranoid munchkin. My side is getting everyone new stuff, as I’ve said over and over.
Yeah I was wondering if they have anything in mind for the weapons that had been datamined in the past, as well as their recolors. They could even expand the Shadowlands by introducing other SL realms for heritage reasons.
LFD essentially got their heritage weapons via an achievement, I’m not certain why they wouldn’t do the same for the NB. I mean, they have full sets right there.
I wouldn’t be surprised if the chin piece is still attached to the armor, but if it is I hope they decouple it in the future.
They didn’t make new undies in the BE pass. The VE model just loads BE skins and puts the VE underwear on top. The only new textures VE’s have gotten since their introduction have been the 2 void eye colors, and the jewelry being separated from the skin.
Regardless, this is kinda moot when I am obviously, a proponent of unlocking DK skins on BE’s and the Red Eyes ASAP.
Well considering most of the posts in these threads get mass flagged by the pro side then get restored by staff apparently people don’t mind differences in opinions being expressed and that’s despite you clearly being bothered by them.
The so called “forgone conclusion” is something your faction should have had available since Legion. If the Orcs can get a complete rework of their model, then the Alliance can also get their High Elves and Worgens with tails.
I think they’re getting flagged by people who want both ‘sides’ (seriously people will die on any molehill these days) to shut up and post the things they want as opposed to what they don’t want others to have. I personally flagged both ‘sides’ in this thread because it was monumentally stupid. Absolutely pants on head.
Art assets are not a finite resource, especially not for something like this. That’s a falsehood that’s been perpetuated for years as an excuse to avoid giving us more customization. “That’ll cost a raid tier” and so on. The truth of it is that they can do both, they can give Void Elves stuff and they can give Blood Elves stuff, they always could, and they still can now.
And if everyone can get what they want, then that should be the goal.
I agree, but it’s not ‘my faction’, I’ve always played both. Hell, I don’t even like allied races as a concept, and I didn’t like the ones that were picked. But since we have them, I want everyone to be able to make their character as they imagine them.
God knows I’m dreading the massive slew of High Elves that will occupy MG Stormwind come patch drop, but it will make a lot of people happy, and it will open the door to more people getting more stuff for their OWN races, so I’m all for it.
Art assets in WoW are hand created and we do not have a system with color sliders and such that could present near inifinite options. As these are all things that require artist time they are most definitely very finite.
It will decrease over the new few months. I sometimes play RPs with my relatives who are on AD-EU. Orgrimmar was flooded with Vulperas in the beginning. But in the end it’s just a short phase until everything is back to normal.
That’s my issue with your rhetoric, that it was a “huge give” because it was what was asked. You are compounding the level of resources spent with impact. HE options of course have the later, but were really not a “huge give” in terms of resources.
Actually, we do. Because they added those with this overhaul. The new eyes for the glowy eyed types? Made to be incredibly easy to palette swap. The hairs? Easy adjustment to fit a given race.
Back in February someone who did model edits and such for fun made a massive post basically showing how little time and effort a lot of basic changes take. It was never about finite resources, at worst it was due to mismanagement of the gameplay team constantly sucking up all the art team’s time. But that’s not an issue right now, and they’re focusing on customization, so we need to say what we want.
ON THAT NOTE: Some more braid styles for other races, like Human females, would be really welcome. Also more long styles? I don’t think they have any hairs that go below the middle of their back. Same with Blood Elf females, the joke is that they’re all about their hair, right? I think that would make for a nice addition.
