Why the lack of Customization?

:face_with_monocle:

Naughtymoon has never been anything but kind and constructive, to the point sometimes yes but thats hardly mean in fact rather kind to be to the point with people you disagree with so as to cut to the point, I’m a bit more long winded I admire that trait, in any case what you just said really doesn’t serve purpose other than attacking someone and I’m not sure why anyone would engage in that way.

Pot, meet kettle.

A little bit more of self awareness would give your argument so much more weight tbqh.

They just love gatekeeping customisations. First it was for void elves ( i kind of understand tbh) and now night elves. Saying nelves shouldn’t have HB options when we have Eldre’thalas HB since Cata is insane.

I point out that your biased and then you give me an entire post proving you are. rofl.

What do you precisely mean by this?

How would a necklace of teeth around them not translate a bit of the Orc culture or teeth gauged earrings?

I don’t agree as I would assume that a phoenix would be a symbol of the culture.

Wait are we not counting this as jewelry options? I’m counting stuff like this as jewelry options due to Blizzards utilization of the feature. Something like this would tell me about the culture as well so yes, I still say jewelry is impactful.

But my point is that filigree is commonly used in the Night Elf society. So I really do not understand the pushback against this being added.

Filigree isn’t just Nightborne though. It has been commonly used in Night Elf society throughout the entire game?

Seriously? So weird.

I came across this in the BE thread and felt it pertinent because it rings so true and I have to say people disagreeing isn’t gatekeeping, its people who value visual distinction as a valid request that’s just called disagreeing

And if you understand this then it shouldn’t surprise you people don’t want to see another Horde race copied to appease the opposing faction with nothing in return for the first time this happened let alone the assumption we’ll get something for NB this time lol

Too late then, cause NB have a druidic/ moon themed face marking  why only horde is allowed to infringe other races themes?

And now you’re trying to discredit my feedback on something that is basic to the Night Elf culture.

This is in response to one tattoo you subjectively placed a theme of Druid on?

We lost an entire model and visual theme in entirety.

If you say this to one tattoo I guess it’s a good thing BEs aren’t important to you

Which you’ve seen people doing with Farstrider tattoos and either liked the posts or said nothing.

I’m having a conversation with you directly. I’m not going to control what other individuals say or suggest as feedback.

Because we don´t know why they put on it? (also, explain how this is different from Trolls using a teeth necklace, cause they use those kind of stuff too).

It´s the HUGE difference irl between using a crucifix while you are a Christian and using it because it´s “pretty”. Why do you think the use of Bhindi by Western singers / movie starts was so controversial? Why do you think cultural appropiation became a thing?

If one uses something for the sake of using it and NOT because the *meaning it has in your life, then yes: the asset then becomes meaningless. That´s the whole point.

That´s why I said remove the phoenix jewerly option. Tell me how the rando filigree of the other two necklace options speaks oh so much about the Belf culture, I´ll wait.

Nope from my PoV. For me jewerly is strictly the precious metal stuff you put on the body.

Well, bad news for you cause guess which are the other “Belf exclusive” jewerly options delivered in 9.0?

Oh boy indeed… I think your “Night elf cultural” filligree got compromised already.

The Nightborne and Night Elves used to be the same people who revered the same moon goddess, Elune. You clearly forgot that Suramar, the home of the Nightborne, was the former center of Elune worship prior to the War of the Ancients.

The Nightborne and Night Elves share very few common cultural motifs, the moon happens to be one of them. You can’t compare this vague similarity to “infringing” on Night Elf’s identity in the same way that granting the NE’s a full Highborne aesthetic would be.

And if you had conversations with those people directly as well when they said what they said and you said nothing?

I just find it again contradictory now to apply standards you don’t apply to others which is fine but it doesn’t hit the same I guess because it feels hollow because it is different standards I’m seeing and sensing, Horde players should be defensive of our themes after what happened to Blood Elves.

Y’alls rampant hostile tone really make it hard to continue conversations.

I mean, this would be like me holding Ariel accountable for other posters hostile tone. Which would be insane.

It is a moon, and is the same symbol nelf druids have in their cat forms. Nothing subjetive here. NB infringed nelves theme. But won’t cry over it, instead i will make suggestions to improve my favorite race.

“Hostile”?

Whatever dear, if asking for explanations is hostile nowadays then feel free to finish the conversation.

I made my point.

Well seeing as you want to start having a condescending tone with me, I think we’re done until you cool off.
