I think this whole thing stemmed from you stating Mag is ‘standing up for what’s right’ and I think we should concede there isn’t a wrong or right when it comes to pixel preferences.

Ultimately I think what separates Belves and Velves is the type of magic they consume/use, not the type of martial arts they practice. So the biggest difference should be in any magical customization (including magic markings). So both getting paint or tattoos that are more martial-related and more similar between them, make sense even though I still advocate for different designs.
I would just like the starcursed ones personally. I thought those were a really cool idea in providing tattoos for Void Elves.

I like Ariel’s idea of BE getting Bhindi/Henna style options. I was a bit hesitant at first until they shared an image of BE fan art with it and it works really well.
VE sticking to the Alleria celtic style is good as well.

That´s the thing, if you see not ALL the Belf magisters sport that tattoo design, this is clearly an issue related to the Blood Magi AND the Reliquary groups. Umbric clearly never belonged to any of these groups if we take into account Rommath et al had a clear investement in achieving the allegiance with the Horde mere 5 years after Arthas massacred them.
He was an “Alliance fanboy”… I doubt he would had sported anyt of these looks that DO belong to this two particular factions.
I´m not sayingh Velves can´t get their own “mage esque tattoos”, I´m saying they can figure out their own inspiration and leave the classic concept for the Belf race… I mean let us keep at least SOMETHING unique, please? I don´t think it is too much to ask when I regularly have to see the "gimme MUH green/golden eyes too cause I was Belf -NOW you are “Belves*, go figures /rolleyes!!-” et al 24/7 in here.
I´ve seen amazing suggestions in Fen´s Velf thread -the whole starcursed stuff is pretty good and pretty unique too-; no need to poach the TBC art box from the Belves and Rommath´s marks TOO.
first, void elves were intentionally thematically differentiated from blood elves
you have scholar types and rando wayfarers showing up. there is no way a pious priest or outdoorsy farstrider is seeking out the void elves
you came back for void elves but spent the entire time and even now asking to play a blood elf farstrider which is already playable on the horde minus some tattoos
void elves were changed by exposure to magic into something other than what they were and blood elves have maintained their culture this entire time despite your sides ridiculous claims to the otherwise. you cannt be a farstrider elf because the farstriders are all blood elves, who are acknowledged to be the high elves of this universe, and to provide them to void elves when you can be a blood elf is, of course, also ridiculous. void elves should be allowed to get unique void themed stuff in the future and blood elves should get unique options that make it clear they are the high elves because its all they have now and im not a damn void elf
oh we both know blood elves will get them its just a matter of how much blizzard cares about the integrity of their lore now and if they will cave to the pressure of 5 people gaslighting the forums to facilitate giving more blood elf stuff to their AR. and if you want proof of that gaslighting look no further then this. even tho alleria and the farstriders had them in wc2, they might be ‘scars from the void’
Look I don’t disagree, but my major point is that logically…they would have their tattoos as a Void Elf that they did as a Blood Elf.
I’m for unique and different styles, but if you think I trust Blizzard to do that…well…
That’s pretty much what I would expect and hope for. I enjoy the starcursed theme and ideas very much and think they would better serve the Void Elf fantasy.

This is what was said and there’s nothing wrong with the statement or sentiment so, disagree with them over their opinions on pixel elves I guess my statement on having seen them stand up for things right and wrong has nothing to do with the pixel opinions.

Yeah I like that idea as well. Separates the distinction of the two factions very well and meshes them together with both of their allies.

I would kill for those tattoos she has btw. That black jawline? HNNNNNNG. Though I still cannot tell if those are tattoos or just her nature skin.
Also everyone in this game deserves those massive exaggerated ponytails and the fact that we don’t have any available is a crime.
Imagine my annoyance when LFD got the Naaru crest on their forehead before Draenei btw. I’m not even sure if it’s suppose to be Naaru themes or not, or if that was something they had imagined that Eredar had in general.

Massive ponytails, and even longer tails for Draenei.
The Naaru crests would be awesome, with lots of colours and shapes. Imagine if they had class colours. So beautiful.
They could still make lightforged special, giving them crests that float not only on their heads but at the side of their shoulders and hands too.
Personally wish they would have ‘evolved’ in some way to make them look different. Kind of like how Broken were effected by the fel enough that it morphed them into what they currently are. I just don’t know what they could give LFD to actually make them look different then Draenei. It essentially being HD horns is actually garbage imo. At least HMT have their antlers and some of those coming up in 9.1.5 enhance that fantasy further. The only fantasy explored for LFD were the same for Draenei in jewelry.
When it comes to trying to make the LFD be different than Draenei. I just have a bunch of question marks and air puffs. They have no distinct difference. Kind of shows that Blizzard probably doesn’t know either since all they had was more jewelry.
