I don’t care really for most customizations BUT that team has to realize why people were as they were when the team says Shadowlands will be all about customizations, heritage armors on the .5 patches and so on… you gotta wonder sometimes when they just cut that off.

Didn’t say that either, I know you’re trying to grasp at straws here. I’m just laughing at how it took the exodus of half the game for them to add a few new ears to a race.
Don’t worry guys we’re going to get some sweet tattoos on Tuesday and some hair colors on Thursday. The game is saved, I can already see the flood of FFXIV players returning!

Thank you for the natural hair colors!! Could they look into adding some additional hair styles that aren’t void tinged? More of an Alleria feel to them? Most of us would be fine with stuff copied over from belves. Not this patch obviously but perhaps in future? 9.2? 10.0?

Yeah, we’ve been on this journey for 17 years though.
That’s what makes me bellow with laughter. People quit Shadowlands over unnecessary restrictions on covenants, terrible casual content, awful daily/weekly questing structure, lack of feedback, awful lore.
And then a blue makes a post about adding some hair colours and ear shapes and people lose their bananas. Absolutely none of these changes will bring anyone back from the game they departed to. I mean, have people in here even seen what the FFXIV character creation looks like? It looks like something you’d expect from a game that’s asking for money from people monthly.
yeah, lets START MAKING SINGLE STEPS in 9.1.5 and/or 9.2, which is probably the last patch of the SL expansion.
Do you hear yourself? People are sick and tired of playing a polished expansion only during its final patch before the next one. This is why people feel like they’re paying to be beta-testers.

Thank god we’re getting the steps of adding night fae forms for 9.1.5, I can finally now continue to not be allowed to play Night Fae because the covenant ability is absolutely garbage for my spec. That’s sick, I’m so excited to continue to be locked out from playing 3/4 of the content provided because of … ???
Like why, where’s the blue post about conduit energy? Covenant restrictions? Korthia being terrible? Where is their apology for forcing people to run around the Maw without a mount for two months.

Trust me, I’m on your side. I think this game needs a major overhaul, but they have to do something in the meantime and this is a start. I would be more outraged if they weren’t doing anything at all, the fact that they are doing this is a good sign. (Glass half full.)
Edit: I also like the enthusiastic communication with players, this is what we wanted.

Also I didn’t see this before but covenant-related customization would be neat, if only it applied to the entire account though (like an unlock for the entire one regardless of covenant once you get an achievement or do the questline or something.) I really hate covenant restrictions.
But yeah, I want them to explore Azerothian vampyr lore as well, the origin of the vampyr curse. It’s probably linked to Revendreth, but that’s not confirmed. We know the Vry’kul have a lot to do with it.
Anyway, everyone getting red eyes, fangs, claws, would be neat. I don’t think they’d go that far though for every race. They’d need to do something of similar flavor for other covenants too, I’m not sure what. Bony spines for Maldraxxas? Passive out-of-combat soulshape forms for Night Fae? Glowy Auras for the golden-things (forgot, haven’t played in a while).
Also… wing mounts would be cool.

-Feathered wings - golden covenant
-Bug/faerie wings - night fae
-bone wings - mald
Actual wings that fly, I mean. As mounts.

this where I utterly disagree with you; this is a start, yes, but an absolutely horrible one
the game is in a crisis at it bleeds out players daily. A blue post about 5 new hair colors isn’t going to win people back. A BLUE ESSAY, or even a VOD of some devs talking about all the issues they’re aware of, their plans to fix said issues, and then an apology would be A GOOD START.
If I was just hired by Blizz as a lead Dev, the first thing i’d do is stream for 2 hours addressing every little thing that needs to be addressed for the entire community to see.
If anything, a blue post about hair color during a time like this is borderline insulting.

It’s almost like this is why people who actually play these races and invest in them understand why the race is split between the two factions, and that’s a huge draw for the whole helf/belf thing.
But no, muh racial identity mine mine mine or something. Screw people who want to explore those concepts, and god forbid they ever explore it in game more.

The fact our lead developer for World of Warcraft has yet to say anything at all, anywhere at all about the state of the game even before the lawsuit problems is a utter disgrace. What’s going on with our game? Every other Blizzard employee has weighed in while Ion has just ghosted the community.
He hasn’t even logged in on WoW in 17 days, did he manage to quit WoW before i did?
