Why the lack of Customization?

Honestly the hardest part of this would be things like Orc clans and Human Nations and divying up racials and things for them.

Cause like I mentioned if you want to do that sort of thing it’d really be a bad move if it only applied to a couple races.

Classes for many such subcultures would likely remain fairly similar.

Just in the case of the Dwarven clans they kinda make sense to have Bronzebeard and Dark Irons be fine with each others classes but it just makes absolutely no sense for Wildhammer. They do not like magic unless its natural. Its one of their big things and their ties to gryphons and their rite of passage that sees every one of them make a Stormhammer?

These things matter.

(I know this is a while late but I wanted to return to it when I was at my computer.)

Falling. They aren’t gatekeeping anything. Their attempts to get high elf options denied are downright laughable at this point. Just put all of them on ignore and make suggestions for what you want to see in game.

As a side not though. You shouldn’t let people’s behavior change your perception of what should and should not be in the game because then its for all the wrong reasons.

Speaking of Allied Races, I hope to see Vulpera druids someday. A scorpion tank form would be really neat, in my opinion.

They are among the most interesting Allied Races added into the game and definitely the best choice to add of the options given in BfA. One of the few good things to come of it. Too bad there aren’t Sethrak, but hopefully we’ll see them added soon.

Wonder what Vulpera options will be given in the next pass, I think more tail variations would be neat, maybe ears that are a bit more scratched up. More scars, but we could all use more scars for all races.

Edit: Still hoping for worgen tails too at some point! As I’ve said a few times now, of course.

Sounds great to me. What is your opinion on the HMT druid forms? Lackluster?

I don’t play HMT or tauren in general, I’m sorry D: But I have seen some of the community want a bit more luster to it? I’m just parroting what I see other players say, at this point. I will say the eagle flight form does feel really appropriate. Looking them up, though, they don’t seem to stand out much from other tauren druids I think? I dunno, I feel like bigger antlers would be neat, though I’m not sure how viable.

The problem with the HMT druid forms are how stupid they look. A falcon/lion with horns. They should rework those so they look as great as the Zandalari/Kul Tiran forms.

Oh okay I see, that makes sense; so would that apply to Tauren druid forms too since they also have horns, or are they not seen as an issue because those horns are far less obtrusive (and probably more effective as a weapon)

I would have really liked to see Pandaren Druid.

I am all for druids but I hope if they do give the horde another one they at least give one to the alliance. We’re down by one as it is. T_T

Scorpid tank for bear? Hmm… I would think Hyena myself though maybe that would be their cat?

Travel would obviously be a Llama. Flight a vulture.

Would be fun.

I hope so.

Though I wouldn’t expect a new AR until 10.0 at the earliest.

Sethrak for the players! :snake:

I’ve been thinking about this a bit of late too. Not sure what exactly I’d add.

More faces, snouts, tails and patterns. Some tattoos and Scars as you mention.

Just expanding them I think.

#giveworgentails

I know this was directed at Fallyn, not me, but I wanted to say that I actually really like the HMT forms.

I wish that all races had their own Mage tower appearance unique to their race though.

Also that all travel forms would be updated… which is what I was really expecting with the new druid forms they’d mentioned. (Happy to have more forms though.)

Thats… kinda just how I’d expect them to be though…

This should always have been a thing.

They have four Celestials. Four Wild Gods. Literally FOUR of them.

Monk Lore. Monks don’t need to lose things for the sake of “druids”.

Vulpera druids don’t make sense either.

Furry race doesn’t equal druid.

They look cheap compared to the Zandalari/Kul Tiran forms. The HMT druid is in dire need of an graphical update.

Most druids prior to KT and ZT could use an update to look on par, but I don’t think aside from better textures for them they’d need to change how they specifically look.

I can’t really think of anything better for the HMT than what they currently have.

Maybe an eagle based Moonkin instead but lets be honest the moonkin form needs a relook for all the races that use the original. Also the KT one in my opinion.

Though thats just it… this will likely come down to ones personal opinion on the druid forms.

The August Celestials are Wild Gods. There isn’t a whole lot of reason they couldn’t end up being the basis for a druid sect among the Pandaren. Doesn’t need to change any of their lore it’d just be adding to it.

Why not?

Just because there’s wild gods around that doesn’t make one a druid. The AC teachings focused on Monk teachings. If they had any druidism connection they would’ve taught them that when they couldn’t use weapons.

Because they have as much druid validity as a dark iron dwarf or a goblin or an orc, etc…

Just because they are furry doesn’t make them druids.

Ok. Why wouldn’t they be able to have a new sect of druids based on them now that they’ve had ample exposure to other druids.

Plenty of ways for Pandaren to be druids.

They live on a continent littered with Loa. Theres three temples to major loa in their homeland.

You’re just being obtuse at this point. lol

Why do you keep thinking their fur has something to do with it?

Again why should monks lose their exclusive lore for this?
Why would Celestials have anything to do with druidsm now? and if you remove the celestials from the equation what changes from literally any other race?

Again, not all wild gods will make you a druid. They live in a dessert, the literal antithesis of druidsm.
You know orcs worship goldrin right? that didn’t make them druids, nor the tauren before they learned from Malfurion. Even Night elves only learned from cenarius , not other wild gods.
The fact that trolls got “druids” from their dinosaurs was a fluke, not the reason druids exist.

Why do people keep citing specifically furry races like pandaren and vulpera?, people have always correlated furry races with druids, is nothing new.

…because Pandaren have strong ties to Nature? Have you played through Pandaria? Their 4 gods are confirmed to be Wild Gods (AKA Loa) as well.

Vulpera are nomads that literally adapted to survive in the wilds. They are for all intents and purposes everything that makes a druid a druid.

A lot of races have “ties to nature”, Pandaren’s was never particularly special. They were just shown following fantasy east asian philosophies of “balance with the world” and so, but none of their quests goes beyond that.

Vulpera don’t survive “in the wilds” they survive in a dessert, the complete opposite of what druidism is about (Don’t believe me? see kalimdor and how many places in cata were changed to have flora because druids hate desserts).
That’s like saying any race with hunters should be druids. Mag’har and Draenei have more history “surviving in the wilds” than them.

What would they be losing?

The Druid sect would obviously use them as the focus through which they access those powers… Like the Zandalari do with Gonk.

Plenty of them seem to give access to those sorts of powers. Hell a wild god isn’t even needed except to give you a deeper connection to such things as one avenue.

The Gilneans had near druidism before the curse pushed those same powers into actual druidism.

Kul’tiran’s don’t even use wild gods to do it directly. Though they also have their own.

Druidism is nature.

Deserts are also nature. They’d just be a different kind. Same thing in the end though.

Orcs could easily become druids too. There is even one (sort of) in the lore too.

Happy days! Lets let everyone be druids!

Ooof. You don’t know much bout druids and Tauren do you?

Or Druids in general it would seem. lol

So what you’re saying is yes to Vulpera druids? Cause that sounds like you’re saying there are other options to becoming one anyways.

Both Pandaren and Vulpera have connections to wild gods or wild god like creatures and are tied fairly close to nature…

Tell you what, if Blizzard had a human looking race tied to nature in some capacity that wasn’t already I’ll be all for druids there too.

These arguments seem silly to me honestly.

The fact that they are the beings tied to the celestials and no one else? this is like asking what would paladins lose if suddenly warriors also started using the light.

Right, but why would the celestials suddenly be about druidsm when they never thought about it hundreds of years?

Exactly, races have reasons to be druids, Knowing a wild god is not one of them.

Not really no. Druids hate deserts. They have tried terraforming Kalimdor over and over. Barrens, Desolace, Blasted lands are examples of this.
Druids aren’t shamans, they don’t care for all types of elements.

No.

I do, I’m talking about the modern Tauren, who learned from Malfurion after WC3.

Cenarius was the teacher of Malfurion, that’s always been in the lore.

Troll all you want that’s meaningless.

Not as silly as people pretending they have druids connections just because they are furry races which is what you are all doing.
