Lore is good, I disagree. End-game stuff was good, I disagree.
Nobody said they couldn’t tweek some things. My ideal world is one in which they add TBC and Wrath but without flying, then stop adding any expansions and just add new content based on player feedback.
Like, maybe eventually adding monk IF they do a mockup that looks good to the community and over half vote we want it.
I’d even be cool with things like…I dunno…them giving is BARD FINALLY BLIZZARD. WHY ARE YOU LIKE THIS GIVE ME BARD! Sorry, I snapped there.
I wouldn’t mind BC even if it didn’t have flying I would still love that content in itself. Vanilla has me happy presently as well :3 miss traveling and poking about places. Also spacegoats.
Nothing wrong with flying. It is an amazing part of gameplay in retail.
But…if they aren’t really planning on going much further in this reboot (or whatever we want to call classic), then there really isn’t that much of a need for it. There are other directions they can bring the game without making another copy of the next expansion.
When we get TBC (And I assume we will) It will be new realms. Classic Will be Classic. Don’t remove the things other people want to fit your play style. What happened to no changes? Does that mentality conveniently go away just because it’s now something you don’t want.
When TBC comes it’ll be the latest possible patch of TBC and they’ll probably roll out raids in phases like this one. It WILL have flying and arena, and all these other things there was in TBC. I want TBC to be TBC, not some Frankenstein Classic +.
Bring on TBC, flying included. TBC utilized flying to the fullest when designing the outside zone content. I am not interested in any classic+ or custom content. Just give me TBC after naxx.
None of this matters as long as there is layeringin the game. They have killed the game by not removing it by now. People use it to access rares on demand, escape PvP, fa4m nodes, ets. There is no server community. It’s over. Phase 2 is too late.
It’s interesting how hardcore people are about classic and #nochanges, but when people talk about the burning crusade they’re always wanting to change something.
I want to experience tbc the way it was back then, not some altered, gimped version of people’s personal likes and dislikes. If you want a tbc server, them do it with the same damn attitude we’re doing classic with.
Flying was only added to the Outlands area not the vanilla zones. Vanilla zones didnt get their flying revamp until Cata. Also a lot of Outlands areas needed flying to get to them. Skettis, Netherstorm instances, Elemental Plateau, Netherwing Ledge and so on. They would have to add taxi points or portals to those locations and then change them around so that the quests dont actually need a flying mount to complete (cant remember if any of them do). IMO flying during TBC wasnt as bad as it was in Cata. In TBC you only had to worry about getting divebombed by level 70’s in Outlands where you were going to be level 58-70 yourself anyways. But in Cata you can be anywhere between 1-85 and you’d have level 85 players divebombing gathering nodes you were walking towards or if you were on a pvp server you’d have to worry about them dive bombing you personally for a really quick kill.
I disagreed with this when they pulled their “no flying forever” stunt back in WoD and I disagree with it now
Flying was one of the best things they ever added, imo, and BC wouldn’t be close to the same without it
This, honestly. Everyone is going to have different ideas of what was great or what “ruined everything.” If they’re gonna do it, do it as it was, not as certain people wish it had been.
