i guess I dont understand why we’d want three of the same thing.
Fire and Frost mage are pretty much the same thing.
Arcane shakes the class up a bit.
Having one quasi melee hunter spec is making the class interesting for me again.

If you wanted to play a caster, there’s nine different playstyles and fantasies you can pick. If you wanted to play a melee spec, there’s thirteen. But if you want to play a ranged character, one that doesn’t wield a staff and cast spells, there’s only two options for you, one being incredibly slow paced and the other being more focused around it’s pet than anything.
RSV worked as sort of the middle ground to that. A unique fantasy that focused on the arrows instead of the pet or the bow, fast paced with a focus on procs and DoTs, and just as mobile as BM.
If the new Survival had been introduced as a fourth spec, there wouldn’t be much complaining at all. MSV’s playstyle is great, and definitely the most fun Hunter spec in BfA. Sadly, Blizzard didn’t feel like doing that, so here we are.

blizzard cant even keep the specs they have working well…probably not a good idea to increase the workload

yeah…I was agreeing. I dont mind the idea of a fourth spec…but theyre running the company on food stamps as it is. Dont see any big budget increases to actually improve the game much

mostly because BM is stuck in a “your pet does everything” theme that’s easy and boring, and MM is stuck in the slow turret mode shooter. people want something in the middle.

I honestly think that thematically, MM is supposed to be a mix between a sniper and the D3 Demon Hunter, but has been stuck into being more like a specialist sniper.
so change MM or BM. Dont make it so all three specs are just ranged crap copies of each other.

it’d be three ranged crap specs with no more interesting differences than Rogue has.
They just need to make slight changes to the current specs. We have the best 3 different spec there is.
The one that heavily make his pet do all the work.
The one that stays away without relying on a pet.
The one that fights along side his pet.

I absolutely agree. I like all three as they are with some tweaks. I would like to see SV get a bit more filler for a good rotation. Doesnt have to be anything more than mediocre as long as Butchery can mow down the playing field.

Never thought the the Hunter vision like that, but it’s perfect for their theme at a very basic level.
Yea if you are in a BG and they aren’t paying attention to you.
Pally’s can easily kill hunters in or out of wings, in wings they just melt, out of wings you just have to string your defensive cd’s out. Warrior might be a different story but i haven’t had many problems with survival hunters on my warrior and DH is like the pally, just smash the hunter.
Good to see an aggressive hunter though.

Ummm no, it’s easy to kite/cc kill Pallies. Survival is really strong, saying otherwise is ignorance.
Kite…as a melee? Really? Very interesting. Well i don’t have any problem staying on hunters at all, but i know i don’t spec like everyone so i’m glad you are having no issues with pallies.
I didn’t say anything about it’s strengths, i just said i have no problems killing them on my pally/warrior/dh. Maybe you are the superior BG player, i have no idea. Maybe those that i have faced were just terrible, again i have no idea.
