Hi everyone, I am somewhat confused / dismayed at how much so called ‘Tuesday’ maintenance they seem to be doing since Shadowlands dropped…
It seems to no longer be on just Tuesdays now, and they have maintenance for like 6 hours almost every single day of the week now.
Is this going to be the new WOW setup now, cannot play in the mornings anymore, because there will always be more maintenance, or are they near finished with this?? Thanks in advance!!
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands 12/15/2020, 6:00AM - 12/15/2020, 11:00AM Game unavailable during this time. Almost every day now…
I live in Eastern time so, this means that the game is down from 9AM - 2PM here, and as I said, it seems to be constant…
Because Blizzard loves reading these exact same topics every week…
It is like this after every expansion. It will smooth out in a few weeks. Probably after the new year. Making changes to the database requires updating potentially hundreds of millions of records. Probably petabytes of information. Balancing changes update the database. And the majority of Maintenance only happens on Tuesday, not every day.
Longer maintenance is usually a typical thing following a new Xpac. This Xpac had many new things introduced other than just new content. The times will get shorter.
Because there are about a DOZEN other active threads asking the same question and you could have either 1. found your answer there, or 2. asked your question there. Opening up a brand new thread is just hopping up and down for individual attention.
Its not that its rude. Its that every Tuesday for 16 years people ask the same question. Also at the drop of a new expansion, when there needs to be some extra maintenance people freak out. Its not a huge leap in logic to assume that there will need to be some extra work done at the launch of an expansion as things will pop up people couldn’t anticipate fully.
Tuesdays are, well Tuesdays. Been 16 years, just deal with it.
