And people like me will be there to argue with you because you want to take a Horde race fully from Horde and put it on Alliance.
If we actually got equal treatment in an Alliance race being taken from that side to Horde side I might actually believe that someone was salty but I think the problem is you think it’s okay to do that and we get nothing in return for it so yeah it’s Alliance bias no matter how you try to twist it.
That’s exactly what you are doing if you take 100% of customization options from Horde Blood Elves to Alliance Void Elves because then nothing on our side will be unique, not really sure how you can even argue that at all actually but good luck trying.
Wow I was right, that was the weakest argument I’ve heard yet. Haha. Sorry but I’m going to stick with you just want to take a Horde race 100% and put it on Alliance which is pretty disgusting given you claim you don’t want to and it’s pretty clear that you do so I think we are done here.
Never said they couldn’t, but we weren’t really talking about that. My point was on your response that even if they look the same that the Belf lore will still be there. I agree. I was just commenting that even though that’s true.
From a gameplay perspective. You can’t really just fully disregard the notion that people would be upset to lose visual uniqueness. Which is an important aspect of this type of game.
I keep wondering how many Alliance players would like if we actually took an Alliance race 100% from Alliance to Horde like say Night Elves under the guise of Nightborne with the Night Elf model and all the customizations.
I agree. I’m a middle of the road guy. I think I had this same discussion like 10 posts up. I’m mostly okay with the customization coming out. Though there are limits with some asked for customization that rubs me the wrong way. I wouldn’t quit if it was done, but I’m not going to vote for it in a poll.
I do however always like to champion that discussion is so much better when we stop to realize that both parties have very unique talking points and that both could be valid in the long run.
It’s a mixed bag for me. Though I can only speak for myself. I don’t think it would bother me enough for me to do anything about it, but I do prefer each of the established player races to be unique visually. You should, imo, be able to tell each characters race (and class imo) from a glance.
It’s kind of like the Panda thing. They are like my second favorite race and I love playing them, but I would have preferred if they didn’t go to both factions.
It is. Their opinion is fine. I don’t agree with it, and I think they have an uphill battle to convince anyone else to that line of thinking, but it’s not without it’s own merit.
I see it as the many people that play Night Elves currently would probably rage especially when we had current Nightborne model and the Night Elf model plus all the customizations, I mean the only reason to play Night Elf on Alliance would be if you wanted to play a Druid or Demon Hunter. Lol.
No more than me saying I prefer the game played entirely without using a keyboard and mouse and instead want it to be played by smashing my face repeatedly into my desk.
Visuals matter or they wouldn’t be doing a customisation xpac. The conceit simply doesn’t mesh with the discussion surrounding it.
Nah, if you want a druid on alliance you play a KT
I get why that might upset people. Just as why I understand why you’re upset. I’ve said it before, but you DO matter. Your opinion matters.
Not quite the same thing. Let me try something… pretend this game had more traditional elves. Let’s say, hypothetically, high elves for Alliance and wood elves for Horde. Traditionally, there isn’t much visual difference between the races.
This would still be okay and has been in plenty of games, because there are other visual markers, establish lore, and other things that differentiate the races in play.
It’s not quite the same as what we are dealing with now, but there is an argument to be made.
