Which is great because It is nice to look at a list of full reps but holy hell are some a pain to grind and I def won’t be doing them on alts with this announcement.
Personally, I have lost faith in Bliz.
DF has had a lot of issues for me-- paramount is that it has destroyed lower level pvp by introducing items at ilvl that they shouldn’t be. A level 60 with ilvl 415 is a bit much… I mean, when a player has 100x the stats of a common leveling player in a bg-- that’s not twinking-- that’s a slaughter.
You listed 3 things, none of which were in demand by everyone and then through in a bunch of things not actually announced.
There is your reason. You took the time to create a thread asking a question and could only come up with 3 actual things. Also, the STORY is the current most hated aspect of WoW. Go ask the near 10 million that have quit the game since it started tanking in quality.
Continuing it, isnt exactly wanted and they tossed in a wailing Anduin, I mean SADuin. im also laughing at you mention Dynamic flying after over a month of people claimouring to get old school opened up because of how much they HATE DYNAMIC FLYING.
I don’t recall any healer ever asking for a mana regen nerf.
Memetics research on online tribalism, combined with the nihilistic postmodernistic cultish drive explain perpetual communal cynicism and its empowerment behind the keyboard. I like to think of it as N’Zoth worshipping “there’s no hope only chaos”, meanwhile idealizing a past and ignoring the possibility and requirements for a better future. It’s unfortunate these and any forums are microcosm of this larger societal phenomenon, but that’s what it is.

I’m really more of a classic player but the thing that concerns me aren’t the features, it’s the monetization. The 3 day head-start won’t effect me because I’m a casual, but it opens the door for even more direct pay to win than wow token.
Also, we haven’t gotten confirmation on what the patch cycles will be like (if we even get them) with an expac each year.
Now people are defending this saying that they need to raise the price of things because of inflation, but WoW already has:
- a subscription
-WoW token
-trader’s tender
-store cosmetics
etc, etc.
First time I have logged into WOW since January. Looks like I didn’t really miss a thing. It seems like getting a root canal is more fun at times. So it will take a lot to get me back to loving the game again. I lost my interest with SL and DragonFlight did nothing to make me want to return. I will see what the new xpac does, but no guarantees that I will continue through what has become boring to me or something that I just don’t enjoy as much as I did before SL.
Because almost all those things are things I dont care about. And because Blizzard deliver on alotta that. And because what they deliver on will probably be ruined in the details. Raid, M+, raid and class tuning is basically all I and many people care about. Honestly I dont know how anyone could care that theyre doing more mog/racial/flying stuff.
17386 posts, 412 ilvl with no main linked. Theres a very strong correlation between shilling for blizzard on the forums and barely playing the game.
I’m sure that they’ll let players ignore entire Warbands.
This is like leaving a pizza parlor you hate but instead of moving on to a new game you camp out in front of it and scream at the owners and patrons about how much you hate the pizza
Only WW reps, not the rest of the reps. Monkeypawed? Check.
That’s 2-3 years from now.
Yeah… don’t keep your hopes up. But again, that’s 2-3 years from now.
We got literal stone dwarves as an allied race that less than 50 players asked for in the last few years, all the while Alliance players aren’t getting a Horde rig/model in exchange.
Im in conquest gear. Did you look at that or did you just look at ilvl like some M+ spreadsheet junkie?
I dont know what “no main linked” means but this is my main.
You have 12,000 achievement points. Are you sure YOU play the game?
Op we already have high elves. We don’t need a 3rd one.
12k achievement points isnt even high? You know you can add sockets to your neck?
Warbands and removing the restrictions on acquiring transmog appearances are probably the biggest wins. Maybe seeing BFA maybe become legacy content so we can actually farm several expansion old content is also a plus.
Those are things I’m primarily pleased with but not all excitement is expressed on the forums.
That’s because the forums has always been, and will always be, a salt mine. Every expac, every patch/iteration. The only variance is whether some topics are more pressing or relevant then others in indicating if there’s an actual thing to manage.
If there are a bunch of competing fluff, surface-topics then that’s pretty much the closest way to tell that everything is fine.
Believe me, I made a post last nioght saying this same thing and they all need to shush it, lol. WAs just super boggled on how angry everyone is all the time in wow. Nothing makes em happy.
Others’ forum trolling and general GD clowning aside, I agree with this person ![]()
I watched the opening keynote speeches and the breakdowns. That being the first time I actually watched what Metzen did, he was a treat to watch. Definitely some old school WWF entertaining energy there. Ion made it difficult to dislike him, and I’m certainly looking forward to W…Warthin? WWN? Ah screw it, War Within. I’d like to believe these people have learned from mistakes and are actually trying to make the game better. I can forgive, but it’s not prudent to forget. Too many times they’ve announced something that sounded really cool at the time, only for the cool new thing to go live and to see they did everything possible to make it… not … that way. Or would over promise and underdeliver… occasionally even NOT deliver.
Delves sound really cool, so did Torghast.
Warbands sound awesome! So did Covenants.
Those are just two examples off the top of my head.
So if they stick to what they announced, actually deliver it, NOT find a way, or several ways, to muck it up, NOT mess with things due to … pet battles, or some other dumb excuse, then I’m here for it.
So yeah, looking forward to the new things with cautious optimism.
And as far as the whole Earthen thing people seem to be upset about, either play one or don’t folks. That’s really neither here nor there for me.
