Yeah.
I love that they are loosening on the archaic restrictions.
Yet at the same time, i don’t really see any change in their storytelling and tone, so there is still very much a detachment from the world they want to serve us.
I always dislike when people act like there is just one single hivemind that all desire the same thing. I didn’t see anything bad in the xpac reveal, but nothing that excited me. Especially the new Earthen race.
Edit: I take it back the head start is bad.

Because we are all mad all of the time.
Realistically the people who are happy are quiet and the people who are mad are vocal so the voices are cycling all the time.
Personally I think a lot of stuff sounds good, but I’ve ultimately decided the fact that they are selling EA for the game is too much for me to overlook. I was considering getting back into Retail, even if just as a tourist, now that I haven’t touched it since shadowlands, but I don’t care enough to support this practice.
My gold funded sub time ends in May. Plenty of time for a lot of my steam wishlist to go on sale…OR MAYBE TEAM CHERRY COULD GIVE US A SILKSONG WILL GET A RELEASE DATE ALREADY.
The percentage of the active WoW in-game population is not representative of the WoW Forum Users population. The latter tends to have a large percentage that are cynical, distrusting, and generally against whatever the devs did as “too much” or “not enough”… the devs will never win with this group as they just seem like professional complainers (and there’s no way to please them all simultaneously).
Knowing that I tend to take everything on the forums with a big grain of salt unless some rationale is presented with citations to a dev interview or a verifiable analysis without a dev interview on Wowhead or Icy Veins.
Why so gloom on the forums?
Blizzard is giving what some players asked for . . . and probably more stuff that players didn’t ask for but will be claimed as having been asked for because there’s no accountability in what these manager-types spew out to the public and/or player-base.
I no longer care about retail, haven’t for a while, and anything they plan for now and in the future holds no interest for me. Now they are offering Classic+. I didn’t think that was supposed to mean Classic plus Retail but apparently it does. I think Unscripted’s take on Blizzard is quite accurate.

I have held a grudge on behalf of the Naga and Ogres for almost 15, going on 20 years and will only stop being angy when they are playable.
Because they didn’t do everything exactly like that individual poster thinks they want.
