Midnight being the best chance to add Forest Trolls in some form as they’re closely tied to Elven lore and nearby. Troll Heritage?
Dynamic/tbc flying everywhere that allows flying.
Druids will get to dynamic fly. Better than Dracthyr and can tbc fly when Dracthyr still cannot.
More solo activities.
A promising multi-expansion story saga.
And ect.
I would have thought this would make players happy here. But my observations doesn’t line up with the topics I’m seeing.
What’s the deal? Why are some of you not happy with the stuff coming to retail?

Not to be cynical, but I’ve fallen for the BFA and SL hype when they announced their xpac features too. Island expeditions sounded cool and Covenants sounds like better Order Halls……boy were they oversold.
By now I’ve learned to wait to see things live before thinking if things will be an improvement or more empty promises

Well. Warbands alone is a massive W in my eyes. It’s not all reps right a way, but Blizzard said they plan to slowly add the old reps in after making sure it doesnt break the game or something.

I’m excited in a sense. About the only thing I’m not excited for is the Hero stuff but I’ll deal with it.

Here’s the thing about the forums. There’s a loud minority of people that don’t play the game anymore, and look for reasons to complain. There was a dude all day yesterday using all of his characters to call 3 days “early access” pay to win. Some people genuinely just want to cause chaos. That’s why I personally think they need do more in game surveys.

I have a feeling that there will be a lot more of them on the Horde than Alliance since Alliance already has the best Dwarves - Dark Iron.

There are some people who play WoW that genuinely just don’t want to play this game, but continue to play it anyway. This makes them bitter about anything good or bad that comes to the game.
All games have players like this.

Well…maybe because the game still has a lot of issues for each specific player.
Some players expected an announcement regarding raiding mythic flex instead of the same pattern of 20man.
Other players expected more PvP info, for example I’d like to see a revamp to the Prestige honor system, that’s the 500 level honor that provides toys, titles, mounts during that progress but there’s not new rewards or means to progress since BFA pre patch.
A lot of players expected 10.3 with another raid tier and more content compared to a S4 with Fated content.
We still don’t have legacy BFA, maybe it’ll be introduced on 10.2.5 or 10.2.7, however; all announcements were focus on the new expansion. Or new class / race combos.
That’s the interesting aspect of this game, there’s so many types of players and things wanted by the community.

To be fair, people said the same thing about Dragonflights announcement and yet, it seemed like no one cared. Probably the first time I have ever seen Blizzard openly say a WoW expansion underperformed in sales.

Social media has done a truly fantastic job of bringing out the negativity bias inherent in humanity and amplifying it to the point that folks think it’s simply how we’re supposed to go about our everyday lives.
I almost feel sorry for people so addicted to a game that they’re willing to just sit in it and whine all day, with no ideas on what else to do with their lives.

It’s an Elf focused expansion and it was said that it would deal with uniting the Elven tribes. That’s the best chance, if any, to add them and appease both sides. As Blood Elves and the Alliance let regular High Elves in their lands.

You should take a look at the Q&A post, you’ll find why there’s gloom from some players there…it’s an easy answer to your doubt.
You’ll find players asking for Housing, Race/Clase combos , Mage Tower 2.0 that was promised for DF, 10.3…etc
I just feel like dragonflight is gonna be another unfinished xpac since it seems to be ending with 10.2 but we gotta wait a year for new content to
