Why so empty?

I bought subscription like 2 weeks ago, or even less.
I am on Faerlina server. I have checked other servers and they are equally empty to be honest. I am level 29, and I take hours to find crew for dungeons. I don’t see any low level pvp in Ashenvale or anywhere on the map either. I don’t see people competing for mobs.

So whats up? I have bought 3 month of membership and kind of regret, if I cant find anyone to play with. Is it just me or it is truly dead?

So how do I earn pre BIS gear if no one is same level as me to do dungeons with?

It’s just you. I mean it could be the time you play or maybe unpopular zone… lotta different reasons.

I’m not entirely sure that this isn’t a troll thread, but you aren’t getting any of your prebis til 68-70.

I am new to the game. I thought pre-BIS is any blue gear that you get before you get BIS, not just 68-70. Bit I am a troll if you see my character

Lol I do see that.

Everyone is waiting for you at end game currently.

Check wowhead or icy veins for a prebis hunter list. We have it incredibly easy compared to every other class in terms of gearing by the way. You have an exceptionally smooth and fun leveling process ahead of you followed by an easy gearing situation before being raid ready.

how can I do this if I can not find people for dungeons? do I just buy gear from auction? and I have never played this game, I am kind of scared of the end game because theres so much to learn haha

You don’t do dungeons. Unless you have a lot of quests for a single dungeon, you don’t bother. The XP is slower and a lot of time is wasted by travel. Do quests, get quest gear. Get to level 58 and step through the portal, then the game begins.

Mostly pre-BIS refers to “heroic” gear acquired before a raiding career begins. So when you get the best gear you can from dungeoning and questing that’s when your on the pre best in slot track

This gives me hope then. I will keep playing and see how it goes.

They are doing the dungeons in the 60-70 range.

The gear you get now will be replaced as you level, and the moment you set foot in Outland the quest rewards are head and shoulders above anything you’ll be using.

You won’t see many people in old world currently, so take advantage of low competition for quest mobs.

I just leveled a shaman and recently made it to Outland and Azeroth was more or less empty the entire way for me, but everyone was in Outland so grouping has been a breeze.

Thats good to hear. I will stay patient and see what the game has to offer then. As @dreamsphere has mentioned, doing dungeons at this level is worthless I suppose, as I can get some quest gear

You are completely wasting time doing dungeons and you certainly do not need to buy gear.

All you should be doing is leveling straight to 70 using nothing but quest gear.

Hunters can literally level naked with nothing but a weapon and their pet.

And the weapon is optional.

If you happen upon dungeon quests and see a group forming that has room for you, it won’t be a waste of time to go for the XP.

But yep, don’t worry about your gear for now. That will start being something to work on starting around level 68, but realistically you won’t be worrying about gearing until 70.

Yeah it kinda sucks but TBC came out a month ago lots of ppl doing sh1t there. Also with the intro of boosts and mage boosting being a thing it makes it much harder. Imo you get better XP just questing really so your better off doing that. Otherwise I see SM somewhat often in LFG. You can /who (Dungeon lvl range here) and try whispering people that way too.

Youre halfway through content people were blasting through over 2 years ago now.
Not only that but theres just faster methods to leveling through those levels.
1-60 was a GREAT experience but it is not something many people want to do more than once. They’ll happily pay people to make the 1-70 experience as fast as possible.

This creates the experience youre playing through. You’re a hunter though.
You’ll be fine, solo content is easy for you. See you in outland!

The answers you guys gave me gives me hope that it is not really dead, but rather old game/server where people have already achieved a lot. I suppose late game has surprises for me, but for now, I will just keep questing till 58 and then enter the portal.
