Why siding with Saurfang is fundamentally wrong

being gentle, is less offensive than being arrogant, obnoxious and egocentric, yes

Why is that? lol I mean, you donā€™t see us trying to make buddy buddy with the Alliance on the side, Do you?

But being greedy, lacking loyalty and being a money bag- is still less offensive LOL. You people crack me up. You will fish for any excuse and hey, cover up that insecurity all you want

zandalari are just as much, if not moreso, arrogant than elves. i also imagine that half the druids that play horde will race change in a few days. also less elves because 70% of belf paladins will race change as well. lol

Let me explain a bit more. You see, I played all the old games, including Warcraft 3. Now, I always, from the original, liked Horde better. I related to this giant green monsters, and even after they changed drastically from Warcraft 2 to 3, I still liked them. In Warcraft 2 though, I always made armies of trolls. We would axe anything to death.

In Warcraft 3, I loved it, and after Thrall and Grom go to Kalimdor, before I start the orc campaign, I always stop, and load the three custom maps that were the original War 3 demo- where they find the Darkspear Tribe. I loved the Darkspear. Now, playing Warcraft 3 probably 20 times, I saw the Horde as it was IN THAT GAME.

Also, in Warcraft 3ā€™s expansion, we were forced to play as elves. I hated them. I hated their talking everything about them- and I hated the Night Elf campaign. I could in no way relate to these characters or factions. Then Warcraft D20 RPG came out, and I played it all the time with my friends. I played a Horde Forest Troll, and it was great fun.

Anyway, again, no elves in the Horde, it was regular Horde races originally. Ultimately, I cannot speak for the others, but THAT background of constantly being in the Horde and playing War 3 Horde for so many years before WoW, was what made the Forsaken hard to swallow and then the BEā€™s I said to hell with this. And, started my path towards not caring. They did what they did for game mechanic reasons. They did what they did for money, and itā€™s a game that is meant to do that, so I gave up on all the lore- but I still hate elves. Never have been able to relate to them at all. Weak, skinny, pretentious, arrogant, annoying, and I see them like that because of Warcraft 3.

Well, in my opinion though, since they are the legitimate actual only sentient humanoid race to have actually evolved on this planet (at least according to current lore), they deserve to be. No wild god spawned them, no titan shaped them, no weird curse of flesh. The Zandalari are actual Azerothians. And have held onto their kingdom since their beginnings. That kind of pride is deserved.

iā€™m a sylanas fangirl and if i liked the undead model more iā€™d have 9387593485734 undead alts to show my love for her. i understand what youre saying though. i just think the horde is big enough for all sorts of different people. i personally donā€™t mind elves. i only dislike PLAYING belf paladins/melee because i donā€™t like their animations. which i love orc animations the best so i have 934857934857345 orc toons.

in fact i doā€¦ its was your race who almost turn alliance in MOP

its your race who lick the humans boot to be in dalaran again

ayyy, cute

and? one bad trait on then doesnā€™t equal all bad trait of elves.

Well, i think the Horde is too, but I think, and it means nothing, but as I said, WoW should have had 4 factions. If Horde needed more, we have so many choices to add races, ogres, forest trolls, mokā€™nathal, gnolls, virtually any monster race that was even halfway tribal or tough. But, no, the Horde is big enough for all these other out of place races because moola. And I ainā€™t talking the money that Tauren use, I mean real world cash.

Getting back problems fixed for my Troll Druid is always worth the effort.

Purple blood elves are still blood elves. Night elves are a little different, they understand they are part of the natural world, they arenā€™t forcing it to their will for their own ends. Look at the difference between how the sunwell is treated as a source of power vs. Tyrandaā€™s prayer to have power granted to her - one is taken, one is asked forā€¦

Aspire to peace is different from gentile. The Tauren in lore are not considered gentile.

tyrande got powered up and thenā€¦ nothing. elune did nothing to help. i am not really a nelf player but if i was iā€™d be friggin ENRAGED by how certain things were handled with the intro to darkshore.

This is actually why it IS ok to side with Saurfang (but not Baine). Saurfang very explicitedly did not incite a civil war despite the fact that he did not agree with Sylvanas since the burning of Teldrassil. He did his duty specifically because he knew a divided Horde could not stand against the Alliance. So he tried to end his inner turmoil by being suicidal and seeking a warriorā€™s death.

While in prison he does not return with the hero because he knows he will not be welcomed back and he will receive an unhonorable death via execution or assassination. Where this flips is after his conversation with Anduin. He is NOT in cahoots with the Alliance. He is NOT working with them or serving themā€¦ something Sylvanas supporters seem to think. He is now free to start a rebellion because he knows now that Anduin (presumably) will not attack a divided Horde if he thinks Saurfang has a chance at succeeding. Thatā€™s why he chooses to leave, because he realizes he now can do more without jeopardizing the entirety of the Horde.

That being said, I fully expect Saurfang to NOT give back any of Ashenvale/Darkshore to the Night Elves once he takes over. If he does, then I might consider him an Alliance loving boot licking on the same level as Baine.

Good one. Do you even know why? No? Then you have no point.

Do you know why? No? Again, no point.

Yes. Itā€™s almost like no race is allowed to have feelings or even basic rights. Unless itā€™s you, of course.

i hate saurfang and i hope he gets killed sooner than later. hopefully an honorless death. :stuck_out_tongue:

I feel the same about Jaina. Canā€™t wait til I stand over her corpse on some expansion, someday.

Siding with, and making excuses for, genocidal maniacs like Sylvanas is fundamentally wrong.

i used to love jaina when she was bff with thrall and she was pro horde. now i think sheā€™s a lunatic and it wouldnā€™t surprise me in the least if she was a dreadlord.

Well. Maybe. IDK. Iā€™m mostly busting chops because of different opinion on the OP re. Honor and the horde.

Personally I canā€™t get into the fantasy of the fel/mana/money addict races. Just does nothing for me.

The mentality of ā€œdeath to all who oppose usā€ doesnā€™t do much for me either - never mind ā€œdeath to the livingā€ā€¦ uh, by living do you mean your allies in the horde?

i know why, donā€™t change the fact that they did, donā€™t try to deflect the fact.

because elves generally, are humans booty lickers.

basic rights, exactly what sylvanas want

:\

By this logic, Orcs are demon booty lickers.
