So I think most of us can agree this expansion has been completely underwhelming, even compared to BFA, and the lack of engaging content has led to a massive shift from retail to Classic, or just loss of players as a whole. So far, 9.1 is equally as underwhelming, and literally no one is on, at least on Kel’Thuzad. Just wanted to hear some thoughts.
Nah.
Also, take your pick of the ten current threads about this topic on the front page, some of which are actually constructive.
Yes.
No
Not even close.
Anyone with a brain leaves alliance. I for example was only there because alliance guilds having trouble recruiting tanks is the only way to get into a guild as tank mid tier.
Tbc is boring as hell. YouTube tryhards are comical
It’s not that the shadowlands sucks, it’s the players. Over the years and with the influence of the internet and social media, they have adopted a sort comically evil troll persona. To the point where it’s become their online identity. Or in other words, no matter what state the game is in, you’re never going to stop people from feeling entitled, complaining and acting like spergy, entitled brats.
People think Wrath was the good old days, but it had it’s fair share of complaints at the time. Now consider how bad the game would have beeen considered if social media and outrage culture was as industry norm as it is today.
I would respectfully disagree with some of those points
Do so then.
I suppose the players have changed a bit, but I still hear them calling for better content, pvp and raid fixes and more, but blizzard just doesn’t listen. It’s turned into a grind fest. Feels like doing a chore.
People often assume their personal experience is in the majority, but without any evidence to support that claim, it’s just an opinion. I’ve enjoyed the stories, not so wild about the Great Vault as I think a vendor offering both random and specific pieces for sale, like we had in BFA, was a better approach. Last raid boss seemed over-tuned (my group killed it once and swore to never go back), but the rest of the raid was fairly interesting. Can’t speak to PvP, but it was the best gearing path early on in the expansion due to decent gear vendors, but I hear class balance is terrible. Despite what I’ve personally experienced and the ultra-small sampling I’ve heard from friends, I would hardly say my opinion is aligned with the majority. I discount streamers as they say whatever they need to say to make income, which may or may not be reflective of the populace at large. I discount the General Discussion forum as I’m pretty sure it is over-represented by dissatisfied players; those having fun in-game likely don’t post here as often. I wouldn’t trust Blizzard’s statements either as they groom what they say to appease shareholders. I haven’t seen a statistically sound survey by an independent third party, so I’m hesitant to make any claims about what “the majority” thinks on any WoW-related topic.
Sorry you haven’t found a large populace on your server, but that might be a server-specific thing. On Proudmoore, all the SL zones are pretty full of people and Korthia actually feels too densely populated (like the sharding is overwhelmed).
I disagree.
Shadowlands is amazing given the circumstances that Blizzard staff have had to endure. We need to be more positive as a whole and offer respect to the devs for the work they have been able to deliver given the known issues within the company as well as Californian pandemic restrictions. They’re doing the best that they can.
I disagree with you that it’s been underwhelming.
Too many buttons, not enough gnomes
And I think it would have been just as good or even better without the entire soulbind/conduit system.
LOL ok no you think shadowlands sucks you dont speak for most players nor do i and frankly the fact you think people agree and think as you do is laughable.
I’m using this expansion to level up alts.
And to have fun in LOW LEVEL battlegrounds.
Most of patch 9.1 hasn’t even been released yet. The raid, mega dungeon and most of the story hasn’t even been told yet.
The new zone has been pretty fun for me so far. I’ve seen tons of people on the four servers that I play on, jam-packed.
The Burning Crusade is probably one of my least favorite expansions, hated the questing, the zones are pretty terrible, most of the dungeons are copy and pasted and look identical, I did enjoy some of the raids though. The one thing I do like about TBC is how they utilize mob placements in much of the zones. It actually really felt like a world full of limitless armies of the Legion. That is one thing they loved doing is jam-packing the zones with mobs galore.
It sucks because
- Players toxic
- game toxic
- blizz gone toxic
How? Can you elaborate?
Like what?
Why do you think this? What would you like to see?
What are YOUR thoughts, since you decided to make a thread titled “Why Shadowlands Sucks”.
I don’t know why you think it sucks, you didn’t actually say anything.
Wow, this is such a dev-like response. “Nah the game is great. Players are the problem.” The existence of conduit energy alone shuts your entire argument down.
Such a toxic and ignorant take when overwhelming evidence proves otherwise.
