Why say tendies?

I don’t get it. To me, it sounds dumb and it’s the same number of letters as tenders so it’s not even a shortened nickname.

Is this some hip term that’ll go the way of malding, pwn, rizz, the various twitch terms and other such nonsense? Or am I missing something?

Whenever I hear “tenders,” I think of chicken. Tendies ensures that does not happen

It reminds me of something that my granddaughter, who just turned 4 would say. /shrug

I have the same impression. Since when it is popular to sound like a child? I can’t figure this one out.

Ahh, ok. So we’ve got a bunch of adults trying to sound “cute”. Sometimes ignorance is bliss. Carry on.

…might be a bad time to mention that “tendies” is also a word some people use when referring to chicken tenders.

Is it though? I find this similar to saying “trading posty or poster”. Not funny.

Probably because some streamer said it and people keep regurgitating, like copium and all the other trendy words. It’s weird to think of a “grown man” talking like that, just picture a grown man saying chicken nuggies.

Exactly! Well said.

Perhaps it’s the tone of the expansion?

I’m just spitballing why people, who are predominantly 30+, would adopt the saying. I get that it can be cutesy at times, but they also use it when raging about recent events.

The same reason people call them doggos and puppers instead a dog and a puppy. Because people like using silly slang.
