Gear is handed out like they’re having a fire sale, it’s not surprising. You can get a 2k io by 1 chesting every dungeon on a 15. So if you want to avoid the majority of bad players aim for 2300 or higher, you can still pug 17-18 keys to get that io but it’s typically with a higher bracket of players that I guess gate keep cause they don’t want some casual that struggles to do a 15 to mess up their key.
I’m not a big fan of raiderio and I don’t really go hard on pushing them, just what ever I can pug, if my guild at the time has a core group that does them great I’m sure I’ll get invited but it’s not something I really shoot for.
Pug - pug don’t care - end of thread.
475 must of had them do some work so it’s not all bad… it’s just the mentality of going into runs to just skate by 'cause they can’t be asked.
Nothing new.
470 is pretty easy to acquire heck I can wear 480 if I wanted but the secondaries aren’t ideal, ilvl hasn’t and isn’t a great way to judge someone, have to use a combination of how many dungeons they’ve done, their io, ilvl and if they have any raid exp which most that push high keys will, otherwise if all they do is high keys at least from my experience they’ll have a very high io but no raid exp.
The game isn’t structured in a way that teaches them to be better, nor does it really incentivize them to figure out how to do so.
It doesn’t fall from the sky is what I mean. They would of had to put some time into acquiring said ilvl.
And when Blizz does, people bite back so you get what you get.
People don’t want to improve, they want others to do the work for them.
I personally don’t care if you get stuck in a certain bracket, I’ve never had someone to hold my hand and teach me any of my classes/specs/mechanics, youtube/wowhead/mmo-champion and a hundred other 3rd party websites bring all that information to you at your fingertips, this is why when you compare vanilla to classic it’s a huge difference. I don’t even consider classic anywhere near vanilla as everyone was a noob, there wasn’t enough information available and there wasn’t as much min maxing back then either compared to now.
It’s up to the individual player to learn and pick up all that information themselves but guilds do tend to help in that regard, or class discords although most class discords are pretty useless, not in a bad way it’s just your question probably has been asked 99999999 times and is probably answered in the notes.
Exactly, people are lazy and unless they put in the time/effort I have no sympathy for them for getting declined for not having aotc, decent io or just general knowledge of their class. I’m sure I could boost a toon and out gear and out play them in a few weeks with how lazy people are and how easy it is to acquire gear in legion and even more in bfa.
Willfull ignorance and laziness. Explains most human issues in games. See it all the time in retail.
I get that, I just am pointing out that there is generally a push back when Blizzard tries to guide someone, teach them, or down right just test them.
I’m by no means saying stay in lfr, but I’m not going to do your homework for you, here’s some links, youtube.co-m, wowhead.co-m, icy-veins.co-m etc. and your class discord. great start.
Yeah, I did like the blizzard hosted bronze/silver/gold rankings what ever those were in pandaria i think. But I do think it needs to be more in depth.
Why does it feel like you are pointing that at me. I’m just replying to someone on Blizz not teaching players. The retort is that players seem to be wanting a face roll experience and low barrier for entry.
Lol you read my mind, was just going to say it was a generalization, wasn’t you in particular.
Oh ok no worries…
I was literally typing it out as you posted lol
They should’ve held their ground on proving grounds, and expanded them.
I remember when I first started the game with a high ilvl I still wasn’t doing any good. I would always end up at the bottom of the dmg list no matter what. Either it’s new players or players that are still trying to understand how their class works. They’re not bad. Maybe you should worry about yourself at the moment and let them be. When I first hit max level for the first time ever. I was still learning the mechanics and stuff. I wasn’t as good as I am now with EXPERIENCE!
It’s either that or they purchased a level boost to a new class they never played before. So quit judging and just play the damn game.
At 475 ilvl, 1500+ IO, new?
