Hello, I have been playing World of Warcraft since late Burning Crusade and only raided in Wrath of the Lich King, other than that PvP has been the only thing keeping me invested in this game. However when PvP vendors were removed, gearing in arenas and battlegrounds just felt awkward and instead of making a road map for the most efficient way to buy gear, we now have to hope that at the end of the BG or Arena, RNG is in our favor and the piece of gear we want drops and has the right stats. Now when we had the vendors there were traditionally two different variations of the same set usually with different secondary stats. And one of the things I enjoyed most about having vendors was going through the gear, comparing the different sets and making a list of the order i planned to buy each piece of gear. Conquest points in themselves used to feel like a reward because it was a currency that you could go and spend on another reward, now its just a bar I have to fill up so that i might get the piece of gear i need. If there is one thing i want blizzard to take away from this post is that you guys need to ask yourselves how you can implement systems like the vendors that made people put thought and planning into their character. And if you were smart about your gearing you could compete with higher geared players in arena while you were still farming out your blues or purples. And if you were in full blue gear and you got smacked by someone with all epic gear, it made you want to grind arenas till the last rare slot was replaced. And on a side not these things like the heart of azeroth and artifact weapons further hinder connections with your character. especially when every other player is running around with the one and only heart of azeroth. Why do you guys feel the need to give items to classes to increase their power when all it actually does is give us one less way we can customize our character. I would be fine with these systems if there were implemented to be permanent but considering its all based on a necklace im assuming will be phased out at the end of the expansion, which just reminds me of how little i feel connected towards my characters anymore. So blizzard if you made it this far, from a loyal fan for over a decade, i believe you guys can fix it
100% agree!
You should definitely format your wall of text there.
But yeah vendors were less confusing than current gearing system in pvp xD
Lots of text there but I agree. I’m really sick and tired of RNG drops that a) are below what I need and b) are for slots I already have better equipment for. I want to be able to buy the gear I need.
On top of this, PVP gear should matter in PVP and PVE gear should not. They should reduce the power of PVE gear in PVP (and vice versa) to keep PVE and PVP separate.
There’s no logical reason why people who PVE should have superior gear in PVP, making it easier for them to boost their PVP rating and get better gear while those of us who are here only for PVP lag far behind.
Then again, ActiBlizz doesn’t like PVP and has made that clear over the last decade and a half.
Tell that to the players who bought the wrong rings in WoD and couldn’t return them. ![]()

I guess nice Blue text at the bottom of the window wasnt obvious enough?
nable to cope with so formidable an adversary. But when shall we be stronger? Will it be the next week, or the next year? Will it be when we are totally disarmed, and when a British guard shall be stationed in every house? Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot? Sir, we are not weak if we make a proper use of those means which the God of nature hath placed in our power
If blizzard confirmed they are giving us vendors I will preorder shadowlands and buy a 1 year subscription
Such a lame RNG system.
Gotta be real here, while I very much miss PVP vendors. I don’t think we’ll ever see them again, they have statistics that show people are willing to spend insane amounts of time doing content they don’t enjoy so that they have an edge in PVP.
It’s not even so much that the PVP community is small and they cater to PVE content because that’s the majority of the community. I mean that certainly plays a part but really what it boils down too is this;
No matter how much most of us cry and moan we continue to do the PVE content to get the gear for PVP. This is more time vested into the game, which is more dollars to their bottom line. If they made a vendor that would solve all of our gearing issues and took RNG out of the game a statistic somewhere tells them that they’d be taking money out of their own pockets because we’d get the gear we want faster and as such have a much lower vested time.
At some point, people are going to have to realize that as scummy as it is, Blizzard does know of our concerns but they are not going to reduce their bottom line to make our lives easier. It would take the entire PVP community collectively to unsub from the game before we would ever have a chance of getting vendors back again. All these copypasta forum posts, little Joe blow making a thread saying he’s unsubbing because no vendors, nor all the Youtube videos in the world are going to change the fact that their current methods are profitable for them. And until clear data indicates otherwise, it will not change.
Now then, I have to go farm some more mythics to get me some corrupted gear so I might be competitive in the content I actually enjoy. Good Day.
I wonder how many pvpers would return if they heard vendors were coming back
