The TL:DR is “Muh lore”.
Which is stupid since half the classes don’t make any sense lore wise.
Forsaken Holy Priests? Common, i know they did it for gameplay reasons but really. No outrage on that one.
People forgot somewhere along the way that games are supposed to be FUN.
Personally, i have always hated gated content behind race/gender. Why I honestly stay away from Korean/Chinese MMO, they are ripe with it.
That and giving the loli class the best classes ever.
In most cases, more freedom is always better.
I mean you could ret-con Worgen Paladin pretty simply by saying something about “blah blah blah seeking help from the light to purge the curse” but then realize that it is kinda of a gift to be a worgen but now you can use the light also.
