People might not want to be doing skips to save time right then but to practice them so they can be better at them themselves and find out if they’re reasonable to try in a pug M+ group.
If you didn’t skip inefficient groups or mobs that would take you above 100% trash count in M+ and you didn’t time by less than 30s that’s probably one of the things you could have done to time it.
Honestly, i think its just how my brain is wired when i enter that dungeon. Do we have to skip? Absolutely not. Am I still going to go that way automatically for a few seconds before I realize people might not know what I’m doing? Yes. I don’t get mad though. It takes 2 seconds to turn around and grab the mobs and keep going, assuming the DPS haven’t melted them.
I don’t even have to be tanking. I could be healing and run to go a certain route and realize everyone went the opposite way. old habits die hard lol
In my experience, most tanks are moving too fast to care if you aggroed a few strays in a DF run. Can’t remember the last time I saw someone complain about it, mostly because it’s a non issue. Just stick with the tank as best you can and then bring your “friends” to them when they stop. They will stop…eventually. lol
Indeed it is, and this mentality can be directly traced to LFD existing.
