Not in every way.
Again, you assume thatâs what all the players want. I donât. I donât think we need to train anymore specialists in killing things we dont fight anymore.
You also assume this would be ok with Blizz.
Not everyone would agree with amending the lore being the same as protecting the lore. The lore would change, and that means it wasnât protected.
you must not be reading my posts.
Demon Hunters arenât Demoniacs. Demon Hunters are specifically Illidanâs army. Theyâve sacrificed everything, even their eyesight. They are his generals. Hand picked by Illidan. If Illidan didnât pick you, that means he didnât train you, which means you arenât a demon hunter.
You could be a Demoniac from a long line of them, but you are not a Demon Hunter. Demon Hunters belong to Illidan.
And I think everything I said above is f-ing cool as hell. Thats why I want the lore protected. I think itâs awesome.
Thatâs the subject of new lore for the lore creator(s) to make.
Well I canât speak for anybody else, so thatâs not something to worry about.
I donât. I simply express my desire. Blizzard will do whatever they want, but what they want canât align with what I want if I donât express what I want.
Then Blizzard should stop making new stories because the lore will change. Sylvanas being the leader of the Horde is part of WoWâs lore now, but it isnât in the past. The lore has changed with the story and will always change with the story.
Protecting the lore is not about not changing it, but about changing it within reason as accommodated by story and plot progression.
Look, Wit, no offense, Iâm not going to waste time arguing over semantics. You know, or should know, what I meant. Zandalari âdruidsâ are not druids, they are dinomancers. Zandalari âpaladinsâ are not paladins, they are prelates, and Zandalari demoniacs are just their flavor of demon hunter, they let a demon into them, same as Illidari, and so forth, same thing.
But, like I said, I could sit here for hours listing the thousands of things in the game that are not lore, in fact, the list of things in game that are not lore is vastly larger than the actual lore itself! lol It does not matter if they want to put in Grim Totem rogues or Zanda Demoniacs, or whatever, itâs just a game and has no affect on the lore. It would just make a lot of people very happy that like a certain race and also love a certain class, but have so far had to choose one over the other for no real reason at all. Especially by this point.
Yes there are, they are called gnomes
Uh, that should be Witâs quotation.

Yeah wow⌠Thats really weird⌠Did⌠Did i just get hacked?!?

New lore: you and I are the same person and I just like arguing with myself, beats liking my own posts.

Concerning lore, thats all there ever is to argue over haha. Its all good man, we dont have to agree. Its just nice to have a conversation and NOT get personally attacked on GDâŚ

They can, its their property. I need to go to sleep like now lol but Iâll answer tomorrow if youâd still like to chat ![]()
No. Stop asking for races to be stripped of their uniqueness more and more. The restrictions are there for a reason: Stormwind humans wouldnât choose to become shaman or druids, draenei would never become warlocks, undead physically canât become paladins outside of specific circumstances, etc.
Also, giving every class to every race would very likely be a massive strain on the art team when they would have to design unique shaman totems, paladin mounts, druid forms, and demon hunter forms for every single race that doesnât have them, some of which would only be played by a minority (i.e., gnome paladin, goblin DH), so it wouldnât be feasible in the long run, and some combinations like void elf DK or Lightforged DH wouldnât make sense at all.
They can, its their property.
And I agree, lolâŚwaitâŚdid I just agree with myself?
(and lol at that like
)
I donât expect anything from Blizzard that they donât want to do, but I owe it to myself to express my desire and itâs up to Blizzard to decide whether it aligns with what they want. Thatâs really all it is for me, again, not speaking for other players.
I think many restrictions could be lifted without much work for the devs at all, but shamans and druids require extra things: animal form skins and totems. death knights have the slightly different appearance they would have to do for allied races.
Iâd like there at least be a way to unlock certain classes for certain races, like becoming a dranei warlock or an orc paladin. a quest or as above a rep penalty would be good.
Demon Hunters are trained to be experts in finding and killing demons. There arenât any demons around anymore. Why train more? We already have an army. We donât need any more.
Where are you getting this idea from? There are still multitudes of demons out there. All we did was defeat Sargaras, his generals and remove the demonâs ability to quickly resurrect. The Burning Legion still exists, it still controls countless worlds and can come back at any time. All we did was cut off its head.
All we did was defeat Sargaras, his generals and remove the demonâs ability to quickly resurrect.
Oh, is that all we did? lmao
We already have the illidari, the Illidari have their army, Illidan isnât available to teach any more Demon Hunters etc etc.
I mean hey, apparently Illidan is racist and allows only Blood and Night elves to become Demon Hunters. I donât make the news here, I just report it.
Sounds good to me! Been wanting a Pandaren Druid ever since Pandaren weâre announced.
I support this because I want a BE Druid so bad. No interest in playing any of the existing Druid races, Including Zandalari.
I have been saying it for years. In d&d you can be whatever race and class combo you want. And it works great.
You represent YOU. NOT your ENTIRE people and their culture. Orcs donât traditionally care about nature, but maybe Your orc does. Maybe you decided that you see the benefits to being connected to nature and became a Druid.
They would never do it because they would have to come up with a hundred unique druid froms or someone would complain.
