agreed, the question posed compared to all 3, which one of those 3, playing one or two hours a day max, will get you the highest overall ilvl.
im casual and dont need a higher ilvl, however if casuals spend a longer time to get a high-ish ilvl, then seems tha game favors raiders/m+ folks. and that wouldnt be a suprise

Yes so instead of using skill and coordination to complete hard content we should just get handed ultra strong gear to blaze through it. Makes sense
roger that, guessing you play more than 1-2 hours a day, or just really lucky on drops. as i noted i just got 6/6 this last weekend only doing the dailies in korthia since they came out. and got yhat 232 or so ilvl.

You still got quite a bit of rep/catalog research to go for. I got to Tier6 casually before rep was buffed. I am sure you can too. Getting T6 will allow you to upgrade all your gear to 233(or 233 idr)

Nah, not necessarily. Im thinking maybe change the reason for doing that challenging content to not be solely gear related.

I’ve cleared Antorus on my warrior that’s 224 ilvl but I’m not going to record a video and send it to you to prove it lol.

Well I don’t think the high ilvl gear is the sole reason people do challenging content. There’s the achievement and gratification from completing it as well as transmogs too.
I do see your point though. Those challenges are basically inaccessible to a lot of people because of gear but there is a clear path to it, just not for solo players.

I would just like for them to stop rank-gating basic conquest gear again. If they did that, I’m good.

Granted. in patch 9.5.1.87A-c a full set of heroic ilvl gear will be available on the Store shop for a low price of 89.95 plus tax. 
Sorry not happening because according to GD, cata, mop and wod were all wrong in their gearing approach and weren’t true to RPG gearing

You had me until this part…you don’t need 3 pieces of heroic gear before stepping into normal…its literally the first and easiest group raid and designed for players that are almost brand new to raiding.
Most experienced raid groups will full clear normal in 1 week with no gear at all some guild will just skip normal raid entirely…if you just stuck with so they can also enjoy a sense of progression then i agree with you.
But if you’re saying that casuals need gear just to get into raiding then you sir are delusional.
Im all for giving out free gear so casuals can also enjoy progression without group content but to say they need heroic gear to start raiding normals is just wtf?!
