Why not give Casuals high lvl gear?

M+ sort of fixes that issue, no? I’m sure even the most casual players can do a 7.

People always need gear to chase in a game like this otherwise they play games where they can.

Stop casuals from gearing up further just kills this game that much more.

Gonna be one empty game for others to lord their gear over.

Thats two slots on crafted gear.

You really keep reaching and further proving that you dont understand the way the game is designed.

Meaning it doesnt even apply to this conversation.

Systems may have changed THE DESIGN of the game has not.

The game doesnt cater to me. I just play the game the way its designed.

Pulling the rug from under folks by gating their progress by requiring another completely different mode of play…this sounds like an argument PvPers made way back in the day. Why tell people they can solo this content (and let them do it) only to throw a block in front of them later and say, “No no no. You can’t progress anymore unless you play this other mode that is strictly group play! Sorry!” It’s bad design.

If there was a solo way to get 252 gear, then what they’ve done would be fine…but there isn’t. Even in the next patch there doesn’t seem to be a solo way to hit 252. There’s something wrong with this.

There should never be a solo way to 252 gear.

I disagree. But even so, either the players need to be given a way to get that gear…OR…Torghast needs to be adjusted.

So you don’t do things you want to do? Do you enjoy playing the game? Or do you like enjoying following what the devs say you should do because you are going to play “as designed”. Becaue it used to be designed to let casuals get decent gear solo at least in BFA.

Also I guess that’s why people left because they don’t like how the game was “designed”.

Its called heroic raids and m plus

It was 3 armor pieces plus a ring and necklace as well as a gun and item enchantments which is better than nothing. Actually, I think they were called emblems of heroism at the time and later converted to justice points. The emblems came from the same “trivial” content at a low rate but could fill out a full set of gear besides the crafted items.

None of that detracts from the fact that a path towards heroic raid tier ilevel gear via “trivial” content (e.g. the current normal / heroic LFG queue which I am sure all casual / solo players are fine with because it’s not as demanding) existed and the game did not implode. In fact, it was apparently worth rebooting.

Yes I enjoy playing the game which is why I dont want it destroyed because bad players are crying about gear.

Heh, game destroyed…man, get out of here with that. Ha, ha!!

How exactly would it be destroyed? Nothing will impact you. Literally this is for casuals/solo players. It’s not like suddenly you are going to be one?

I always find it hilarious that the “Hard core” players always say they don’t want their game “Destroyed” by casuals getting concessions and content, but it never effects them, nor anything they do.

Literally doesn’t effect them, if they are so hard-core, and pushing content for the sake of pushing content because it’s what they like, then I don’t understand how casual players getting things is somehow some dangerous threat to their way of life on wow.

It’s not like there’s suddenly going to be a surge of people invading your mythic+ groups or guild raid runs.

Cause after all, don’t all the high end people have their own mythic+ groups and raid in guilds? That’s the advice they constantly spout at people who don’t like group content and have far more negative experiences from group content than positive ones.

So if you’re so settled in your mythic+ groups for pushing, and your guild raid groups. What are you afraid of? Somehow the casuals are going to cause an uprising and force themselves into your guild groups / mythic+ runs and you won’t get a say over it? That’s utterly laughable.

Some casual players might try group content with higher gear, but isn’t that what you want? People participating? Oh wait no, then you’ll just complain about having to carry new people… despite supposedly having set Mythic+ groups.

But most casual players are just going to continue what they are doing, just enjoying themselves and taking the game at their own pace, and at the end of the day, have absolutely zero impact on your personal gameplay.

But they will also stick around, so you know what that means? More subs not expiring, which means Blizzard shouldn’t feel more compelled to push micro transactions, and maybe can get content done in a reasonable timeframe.

If you think losing the casual player base of the game is a good thing, then I’d suggest you get used to the 1 patch a year model you currently are experiencing. Might even get worse if the game goes into maintenance mode because there’s no growth anymore, because all of the money is gone. :woman_shrugging:

I know. Like no one is going to invite somoene in a mythic plus group right now if they don’t have a good rating in IO or the default ui one. If I really wanted to group I would have to grind that out on all my alts. Like today I did a 12 on my mage, that stuff doesn’t show on my alts, I just made this fresh alliance warlock, gotta grind her rating. And I am only really doing it cause of the weekly. I’d rather be playing solo!

If those weekly quests were up all the time (the timewalking and mythic plus gear) I think I would probably do mythic plus more frequently. When those things aren’t up there aren’t many people running low keys.

I do miss the days where we could just farm the lfg and do heroics for valor and stuff. Right now they just tie it to mythic + and the rating is annoying imo. Like not being able to upgrade gear without certain rating is annoying in both pve and pvp.

No one is stopping them though. Low level guys are pretty much guaranteed.

Problem is there isn’t enough avenues of progression for everyone. One of the big reasons for the huge decline in this game.

Keys are the casual progression route. It’s as easy or as difficult as you want it to be.

Exactly, there aren’t enough avenues.

Then there’s raiding and pvp. World quests just aren’t going to be an endgame route.
